Well as you can see I have released recently a Diesel Pack for the Covet with 3 engines and they are pretty efficient, I want to add them to the Old Pessima first, and then I can try with the Pickup / Roamer bur I first want to finish the Old Pessima, and I think it's not gonna take me too long because they (Covet and Pessimas) will share engines so I only have to copy and paste.
It sounds like what you need is a bigger fuel tank. The problem with small engines in heavy vehicles is that you have to work them so hard they get just as bad if not worse mileage. The 4.5 actually gets better mileage than the i6 while loaded just due to not having to work it as hard all the time. From my testing, the 4.5 with a 6 speed and a camper shell is the most efficient d series.
I have a diesel mod for the D-Series, but I haven't modified the "burnEfficiency", they are ported over from the ETK 800. Well the 2.0 I4 is anyway. It has been out-dated i suppose, but it still works! and still has engines: TDV8(Ford/Jaguar)-2005/2010 SDV8(Ford/Jag)-2010/now TDV6 (Ford/Jag)-2010/now 2.0 TD4 (ETK)-2010/now 2.7 TD5 (Merc OM612 style)-2001/2005 https://www.beamng.com/resources/tdv8-etk-i4d-d15-roamer-mod.2766/
yes, but using an i4 sound, it's modelled after the merc 2.7 used in the C270/E270 and Sprinter vans, has around 160hp and 400NM of Torque --- Post updated --- trip computer lol. Theres also engine debug which shows the realtime fuel economy.
My dad has a Ssangyong Rodius from 2007. It has a 2.7L 5 cylinder Turbo Diesel Mercedes Benz Engine (D27DT) Giving 165hp and 345Nm
wow! That's why i coded the 2.7 Merc engine, my mum has a SY Rodius from 2012. Lovely engine, transmission is very lazy though imo (5 speed merc, very american-sits between a range of revs whilst accelerating and sits there like an old 80's V8!, transmission is very smooth though, can't feel shifts!). Is it 4WD? My mum's is RWD
HAHAHA, RWD but Open Diff so difficult, I think impossible to drift, but it's ready to do accelerations and burnouts! xDDD I love drive it, like u said the trans is super smooth but I wish it had a 6 Speed Manual so it could catch more speed (mad engine, super responsive) and had better mpg, 3200RPM @ 120km/h is a bit high... I'm 15 and my dad let me drive it sometimes, and when I can I drive it hard and it's very funny, if you drop the clutch fast from 1st to 2nd it always spins the rear wheels xDD I disconnected the EGR valve (elecrtronic) and with a full tank of Diesel we can do arround 100km more driving most time in street but sometimes at highway. A must have for this engine apart of a remap that reaches arround 185hp, some people did reach 200hp, this engine is sold in another country at 178hp stock!
I'm 15 too (srsly this is so coincidental ) , yeah the auto has revs of about 2500 at 70mph (110km). Never even thought of a burnout in the car, being an auto I suppose you could brake stand it, but it's never been driven hard, I've never driven it but it would be quite fun to do so Sorry for hijacking this thread OP...
