My dream thing to have is a driving experience that doesn't feel like I'm aquaplaning when I hit 80+ mph. I would also like it if the cars felt like they have more grip at slow speeds. By this I mean when doing 20 mph and turning the wheel I would like the car to turn, not just limply under steer. I would also like it if I could turn at slow speeds while braking. If the wheels are still spinning then I should be able to turn while the brakes are applied. This Is not what I seem to experience. The turning amount is reduced unrealistically even when applying the brakes lightly so as not to loose traction. Its kind of how I would imagine driving would feel if the road surface was covered in an inch of honey. This is mostly in relation to the covet as its the only car I enjoy driving but seems to hold true for all the other cars too. I never really noticed how slippy the cars felt until I got my G27 steering wheel a week ago. I normally drive a front wheel drive car similar to the covet in RL and it never under steers at 20-30 mph in city driving. I noticed some other weird friction issues that could be causing the slipperiness. I made a quick video to show some weirdness that if fixed would probably help the overall handling. Hopefully the race update will fix these issues? Edit: I don't want this to come across as a moan as its just my feelings and opinions and wishes. I love BeamNG
There's some sort of weird drivetrain bug that only affects fwd cars. It makes them act unrealistic. I don't remember the specifics but someone pointed it out somewhere and gabe started talking about it.
3 on the numpad zooms out, and 9 zooms in, if thats what you're looking for - - - Updated - - - Ibishu-Covet <-- i think that's what you're thinking of
Instead of wishing for alpha bugs to be fixed, I'll actually post something to drive that I want to see ingame... Gentlemen, behold!
one of my first posts here ~6 months ago was about the same type of hydro-plane feeling handling issues. i actively try to race competitively in this game and wish to see it grow as a sim racing/hotlapping game, regardless of whatever vision the devs have. i am one of very few people in this community who puts in the effort to race as quickly and accurately as possible, and there has not been a case where a user on this forum has ever thoroughly beaten one of my lap times, even when there is plenty of room for improvement. i had nearly lost hope recently until a user, gmaksi83, actually made me spend a few hours getting a faster lap time than him. whether or not you're in it for the love of racing, your wish of accurate friction and handling is the same as mine, so i will contribute by answering/informing you as best i can: the race update is reported to alleviate the issues but not quite fix them. however, i do not believe anybody has demonstrated/documented the new physics in video form. the devs have not been very vocal about the exact issue or why it hasn't been 'solved' as far as i know (and they are not obligated to, but in my opinion this issue is the biggest one holding the game back). here are some key posts from the past regarding the issue, click on the arrow in the quote box to go right to the post/thread for more information. many months ago: same thread: 3 weeks ago: 2 weeks ago: "but the way they were losing and regaining grip was not correct - still isn't but it is much improved for the race update" the following thread also revealed some insight on friction issues which may or may not have been addressed (this issue in particular makes cornering/racing very silly when it's more efficient to go sideways than apply the brakes. increasingly so with front-wheel-drive vehicles where oversteer is abnormally easy to both cause and correct): http://www.beamng.com/threads/6506-...static-and-kinetic-friction-in-BeamNG?p=81297
I would like a option to buy cars with in game money and a wreck treasure hunt like in test drive unlimited 2
Honestly, a Top Fuel dragster and the best tire model in any game/simulator. (To do burnouts for grip but to much would make it worse. wrinkle slicks, different compounds for say an f1 car...tire wear, tire temps and all that lovely stuff)
Jeep wrangler models both old and new. Stock and highly modified. Also more Rock Crawling and other kinda trails like MOAB utah and rubicon trail. Longer trails also.
After slidenodes, roll/pitch hydro inputsources so that aircraft and bikes can autocorrect themselves properly.
