What about improved car damage. I mean; Explosions. Not too fast, but if the damage runs up high, the car explodes. It would look awesome. What do you guys think? -Reply!
Hmm Cars do explode at very heavy damage (fuel tank leaks, car sets fire) It could happen but not alot.
Re: Hmm Fire is not explosion or simply caused by accumulation of damage. You've been playing too much grand theft auto
Cars don't explode when they get too damaged, they just stop working. There is a chance it might explode when the fuel tank is set on fire because of high pressures and stuff, but still it's very slim. It's a reallistic car simulator not a Michael Bay movie
That's exactly what I mean! I don't want cars to explode at low damage, it must be a.. secret or special feature which doesn't active very fast.
the chance of a car exploding is 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 in infinity car's don't explode without someone exploding it on purpose, this isn't grand theft auto or a Micheal bay movie
I have found 100% legit non animated proof that cars explode during crashes. In a world of CGI your eyes have become untrustworthy.
@Chrislucas that's still faked as soon as the falling metal hit the ground it disappeared, that's not how falling debri works
i was being sarcastic with my video, i know cars dont explode randomly, but im pretty sure a car has exploded at some point in time during a collision.
Cars can catch fire, but never explode. Generally when hot oil spills onto a manifold. Which is mostly why you always see the engines catching fire, and generally the only reason they do. Even gas tankers, unless they're hit by a train don't explode, the burn really really hot and with huge fire balls, but no explosion I have seen one race though, some sort of touring car endurance race. A racer stalled on the starting grid, and one of the people in very last took him out. The extremely high octane gas (110 I think? considering regular gas is 87) was relocated into the truck where the endurance sized gas tank is usually located on these vehicles. He hit him at well over 100 km/h, right in the gas tank. It exploded. One and only time Ive seen an explosion EDIT: After watching those videos, the engine was on fire (surprise surprise, like I stated above). As long as the gas tank doesn't have a rupture in it, pressure can build up then suddenly give. Its more of a gas release from a pressure vessel with the contents so happening to be flammable. The can of beans would have exploded in the back seat the same way, but with no fireball.
Cars can catch fire, but that's rare. Cars do not explode. Games and Michael Bay are ruining everyone's concept of physics and what happens if you shoot a tanker full of gas or crash a car. EDIT: Engine oil can catch fire, but there's almost never an explosion of any sort. Even if you threw a lit match down the gas tank a car would not explode. I wouldn't be surprised if the car even caught on fire.
Petrol is actually rather difficult to ignite, however under no conditions is it explosive. Highly flammable in right circumstances: yes, explosive: no. Its mainly the vapour that's flammable, not enough vapour and it doesn't burn at all, too much and it doesn't burn at all. I'm not saying you should go out and throw matches in petrol tanks, but it probably won't burn (but to test this is just tempting fate and an idiotic idea regardless). - - - Updated - - - see above. Cars don't just crash and explode. Cars never explode and rarely ever set in fire. Explosions have been suggested a billion times. There is a search button and instructions before you post say to use it. Clearly you did not. End of thread I think
Cars catch fire and (almost never) explode. Fire could be something added in-game, but it may NOT happen fast. Or BeamNG will turn into GTA..
