Maps being laggy hasn't been much of an issue for me, west coast was playable but pretty laggy and italy is literally unplayable, it really became bad when east coast got an update it became worse to play on then west coast which is a real shame because i think it looks much better then it used to. so i came up with an idea to fix this, basically an option that made certain objects in not have any collisions, for an example alot of the trees on east coast that are blocked by other trees so you wouldn't really notice, kinda like the altitude map has a no forest option that does exactly that. maps that could benefit heavily from this would be east coast, west coast, automation test track, hirochi raceway, italy, and jungle rock. my pc specs (as requested by just about everyone) Dell insperion 5575 Processor: AMD ryzen 3 2200U with radeon vega mobile, Gfx 2.50 GHz (no idea what any of that means) RAM: 8 gb (7.64 gb usable)
The performance issues you're noticing aren't likely due to collisions, the physics core is actually pretty fast with regards to static geometry. It's more likely on the GPU side of the equation. If you do want to try the map out without collisions on vegetation, though, you can open the editor, find the forest object, and set the 'hidden' property to true. The objects will remain visible, but will be completely intangible. This will probably change guardrails and other objects, though.
lowest graphics didn't really matter, the only thing that i thought could possibly help was lowering the fps limiter from 45-30 and even so it barely helped. i'll find my system later i don't have the time to find that right now --- Post updated --- i'll try that, i figured that would be the issue because i feel like theres way more trees and objects on east coast now then it had before and now its suddenly super laggy compared to something like utah
well i have a pc, why do you think that i couldn't east coast before, west coast and italy by nature are laggy and east coast worked before it got an update
i'll find the specs for my pc in maybe an hour or 2 but i know its not a patato the real issue is the map since i can run most maps just fine but it kinda bugs me that my favorite and 3rd favorite maps are very laggy and basically unplayable with traffic --- Post updated --- as requested by @Dr. Death i added my specs
The problem is your laptop and not the maps, your laptop dont have a dedicated graphics card and the Dell Inspiron 5575 is not a laptop that is made for gaming. It is a low-end laptop that is designed for light tasks such as web browsing and office work.
