I've loved these cars since I first laid my eyes on one at the age of 2. Even the ones that weren't exactly aesthetically pleasing:

    Does anyone else miss them?

Family member had a 1st-gen xB, and I can confidently say I was, and still am, very impressed with that little box. Felt solid, tiny footprint, and absolutely enormous and comfortable inside. Too many modern cars sacrifice space and comfort for "style" and "sportiness"... even in the entry-level subcompact class.

Scion/Toyota totally f-ed up the 2nd-gen xB by trying to "American-ize" it, with squat windows, cramped interior, and awkward styling touches. The 1st-gen was almost anti-style in its aesthetics, and for that reason, I think it has aged better than its ill-fated successor.

    - I was also rather fond of the xA's simple, slick styling. It was like a Toyota Matrix with cleaner proportions.
    - The xD was, well, it was just blah. Not bad, just... it was just there. On the market. On dealer lots. In Traffic. In parking lots. Just another car.
    - The tC, both generations, was a decent little sport coupe in a world where decent little sport coupes have vanished.
    - The GT-S was, well, it was a version of the Toyobaru, how can you go wrong with that? (Friend of mine has a BRZ... awesome little sports car)
...towards the end they lost their way, with the iM and iA...
    - iM was just a European Corolla hatch/wagon, before the Corolla finally got a competent chassis.
    - iA was, technically, a fantastic car (thanks to it being a rebadged Mazda2... I had owned a previous-generation Mazda2 and ADORED it), but Toyota slapped one hell of an ugly angry trout face on it (and didn't rectify that when it was transferred to being the Toyota Yaris iA/Yaris sedan) If it weren't for the horrendously ugly fascia, I probably would have held off on getting a new car and gotten the Mazda2-based Yaris hatchback when it comes out in 2020.

My friend has a 2008 XD. It does a great job handling his abuse.
