Right now, budget isn't a concern for me. I'm not going to be buying one anytime soon I think, but in the event that I were to buy it, I want to make sure it works great with beamng. --- Post updated --- No no no, you stay sir. You are under arrest for terrible puns sir! You have the right (and responsibility) to remain silent.
Well if budget isn't a concern at all then you're looking at a direct drive wheel. Which is likely to be worth more than my entire car...
"Car: 4.7L V8 that gets single digit MPG, All Terrain tires that rub on the fenders, all the body work is held on with zip ties." Mhm.. Out of curiosity, what car is it?
Direct drive should be the best. I have fanatec csw 2,5 and it works flawlesly, Much better than the g920 i had before it.
2005 Grand Cherokee. Previous owner used it as a beach car (hence the oversized tires and ziptie use), but all the comphy bits like heated seats, UConnect, and the moonroof and all still work perfectly. Which is what's really important in life. OT: In the typical consumer price range, anything you get that I can think of will have a physically small wheel. The G29 is what I personally have, it's less plasticy than it's price range competitors which is why I got it. If you really want something proper then go with a full direct drive rig, but it'll be expensive.
Well, direct drive wheels are pretty much THE ultimate experience, but they also come with a hefty price tag... So if you would want to have something cheaper but good enough, you could go for like a Logitech G29 or used G27. If you don't like Logitech, you can search for a Thrustmaster T300 (I think) which supposedly is better than the G29 according to some people
I have a Ricmotech DD wheel now (very similar to Accuforce I believe). Purchased mainly for FFB development because its fidelity can tell me a lot more about what is going on in the physics. But if not for development needs I'd probably still be rocking a G27.
Well, I have Thrustmaster TMX Pro and I'm happy about it but I didn't try direct drive wheel in my life yet, so….
I have a t150 which is the same but for PlayStation and I have to say, I’ve driven a direct drive before and it’s a huge difference in realism.
