Hey! I have some questions to ask you guys and hopefully you can help with this issue i got BeamNG way back when the "Count Down" almost made me die lol!
I had a reasonable FPS rate at 20-38 which isn't that bad but i would like more i have my settings on low and PostFX off. But i still get low FPS i'm just wondering
if it's just my PC or it's a performance problem with my PC, i play in windowed too because i have a 1080P monitor but my GPU doesn't like high end games on that resolution so i run most
games on full screen 1280x720 or sometimes windowed in this case BeamNG so i can use the world editor. Here are my pc specs:

    Intel Core i5-3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz

    8.00GB RAM

x64-bit Operating System, x64 based processor

    1TB HDD

    AMD Radeon 7470 2GB

    Acer Aspire M Case/Model
    Windows 8

    This: AMD Radeon 7470 2GB

    It's a really low-end card.

It is? :/ might need an upgrade i can play most games fine on medium and high, but bf3 is getting towards the end of the 30-60 mark, would an Intel Core i5-3350P CPU @ 3.10GHz + MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming 4GB be a good combination or would the cpu need an upgrade too?

Get the 2gb 270x the 4gb is pointless unless your running multimonitors and a ton of mods.*not beamng mods. Your CPU is perfectly fine for any game.

Yea i was just reading that if i use a 4gb it's actually not that bad i know i would only be using like 2gb on a 1080p but over time games will get more VRAM hungry so i was thinking if i get a 4gb it might benefit me in the long run :p thanks for the suggestion and help

Unless you are modding skyrim and running highres texures packs and enb's you will never even come close to using 4gb of gddr5. Get the 2gb model it is cheaper and you will never use the whole 2gb anyways.

    -ninja edit-
You are only running a 1920x1080 monitor, that isn't very graphicly demanding. If you were running a 2.5k or even a 4k monitor then you would have a reason to get a 4gb card, and at that point you would need a much better graphic's card.

in all fairness though, BF3 does seem to run smoothly across quite a range of hardware. It runs on my 1.8ghz dual core laptop with intel HD4000, not medium-high settings of course but not absolute lowest either.

Are you having any problems running mods currently with your 7470? If not you will be perfectly fine with just 2gb.

When I meant problems I mean like the game crashes or you BSOD because there isn't enough buffer for the textures and you overload your card.
