Hey guys, as the title indicates, would a 3900x be a good replacement to a 7600k when it comes to beamng drive? the CPU will be used for other purposes as well.
A 7600k will be enough for another couple of years, you really don't need a new CPU. Especially considering both have essentially the same single thread performance.
If you need to upgrade, AMD all the way. There are very few reasons to buy anything from Intel right now. If you don't need an upgrade, don't just yet.
The CPU will be used for other productivity uses as well such as video production which is why the upgrade will be taking place. I just wanted to know if the 3900X would perform better when it comes to spawning many cars in the game.
Yes it will, since it has 24 threads versus 4 threads. Since BeamNG uses 1 thread per car, your performance will be great even with 24 cars spawned in.
