Well, a fleet update as I haven't done one in a while.
    screenshot_2019-10-30_18-36-54.png
First off, the Bluebuck. Overall condition: eh
    screenshot_2019-10-30_18-24-33.png
The car that I found in my backyard that apparently hadn't been running for some 30 years. Got it running, fixed the crucial things to a point where I could drive it, yadda yadda yadda. This is all old news. Recently, I went on down to Beamco and got it painted for some 500 bucks. The fact that it's a 500 dollar paintjob shows, but I masked stuff off before I got it painted, so it's okay. Pretty much anything would be better than the rusty black paint that was coated in a layer of tree sap. I'm pretty sure that was house paint or something, who knows. It's still missing a rear bumper and front left fender, but I'll figure that out later. The car's at the just-right level of crap for me, nice-ish enough, but not so nice that I'm scared to park it outside. Long story short, the Bluebuckaroo is a lot less crappy than it was.

Second, the Grand Marshal. Overall condition: good enough
    screenshot_2019-10-30_18-23-59.png
It's rusty, but mechanically sound. It's a Gabeslist find for a few grand, which was worth it. The paint's crap, the wheels are crap, the tires need replacing, but other than that, it's a pretty solid car. But, it is V8 and RWD, which don't exactly mean practicality in the snowy land of Maine. I'll probably sell it soon enough in exchange for something more fuel efficient. A good beater car for the summer.

Lastly, the truck, my extended cab D25. Overall condition: too nice
    screenshot_2019-10-30_18-24-18.png
I bought this bad boy when I moved to Firwood for only $6500. It was an absolute steal. This thing is immaculate. Maintenance done at the dealer at manual intervals, garaged, washed weekly, what more could you ask for? Barely even 65,000 miles, too. This thing is way too nice for me. I can keep it in good shape for many years to come, but it deserves an owner who can keep it in excellent shape, mainly by garaging it. I love this thing, but I'll probably part with it sometime soon enough for a less nice truck, something I'm not afraid to drive in the snow and salt.

Found a LeGran! It seemed to have been abandoned in the middle of repairs. When I asked the owner of Jefferson Automotive if I could take it, he said he'd give it to me for $875.
result! I now had a winter project. I have plans for this...

    screenshot_2019-10-31_17-31-47.png
I drove to my warehouse and deposited it there, stripping off all of the parts I could

Later, I booked a paint job for the car. The old paint was stripped and primer was applied.

I prepared all the other parts. those would be painted too. I chose a colour called "Brilliant Blue". This would be a colourful car.
    screenshot_2019-10-31_18-02-09.png
It was after the painting that I ran into a major dilemma. The engine would not start and I did not have the right tools to fix it. The correct tools would not arrive until about mid-november. The waiting begins.

This is a truck I bought from the sawmill. It looks pretty good, a few dents in the bed, but it drives good and the interior is fine. It will be perfect for the winter, and I don't really feel bad because there is a bit of rust on it. It has 4WD, so hopefully it won't get stuck. So now I have this and my ETK. I kind of want a newer luxury car, maybe a new 800 series.

The LeGran needs more love than I can give it. The engine is completely ruined. I will attempt to sell it as a parts donor. Not entirely sure if anyone will buy it.

The "Firwood Dirt Racing League" has been officially formed! The cost of entry for the whole racing season is 50$ in which that money is put towards the maintenance of the track / the grand prize. I'm hoping to hold our first race ever tomorrow on Sunday and get some action going as there's really nothing to do here in Firwood for fun that involves racing beaters. All racers are advised to wear helmets and other necessary gear if available.

After an hour or so of searching, I have come across the perfect car. The back suspension has collapsed, it doesn't have a grill or foglights, and it has a bunch of miles. But seeing as it's gonna get banged around, I don't think that matters. It was only $250 as well, so a good price. Now I just need to load it up on my trailer and bring it home.

Yup. Bring 50$ and just make sure that your car is deemed road worthy by a inspector and has working lights and signals to prevent future accidents while races are held at night.

Soon before the dirt/banger race i'm joining I decided to buy this crappy looking moonhawk. It's not going in the race, but it is going to be restored to top shape and be my new fun car considering I don't have one.

so i took a look at some cars i still had to sell, and found an old bluebuck, and bought it. cost me $500, but it runs fine, and other than the fact its rusted and dirty, its a good car. i pay the $50 to get into the firwood dirt racing league, and i put the bluebuck in the garage. seems like my etk i wont drive yet.

So I've secured my deathtr-- er, I mean car for the Firwood Dirt Racing League and I put a check for $50 in @Tuner from America 's mailbox for the entry fee. For the racing series, I picked up a rolled 200BX with a 5-speed manual.
    screenshot_2019-11-03_17-32-17.png
I plan on cutting most of the body off and building a full roll cage out of some 1 3/4" DOM tubing I had from previous projects. I also want to throw on some all-terrain tires and weld the rear spider gears in the differential.

I’m not gonna upgrade my Pessima. Hopefully my high speed driving skills can balance the general terribleness of the car.

I cut off all of the mangled bodywork on the 200BX and started laying all of the cagework out. Once I was happy with the layout of all of the tubing, I finish welded the cage and then pulled the rear diff cover off to weld the spider gears. I then ran to the junkyard to pick up some used wheels and tires. Here's the finished result:
    screenshot_2019-11-03_17-33-54.png
I took it to get some gas in town and take it for a shakedown run, which was probably not what would be considered legal.
    screenshot_2019-11-03_17-45-11.png
I figured that while I was in town, I'd take the dirt road from the gas station to see how it's going to handle on the dirt for the racing league.
    screenshot_2019-11-03_17-43-15.png
It fared decently well, other than the fact that the suspension sucks for the roughness of the dirt roads and the rear end is dangerously light. But overall, not too horrible for a total investment cost of about $800.

Found an old broken down pick up while hauling down a dirt road near the lone house in East Coast United States. Here's some pictures for any of ya'll salvage people want to take it.

Fronts all smashed up and looks like the front axle has given.

Engine is still intact and looks like it was well preserved.

Interior looks fine though bent a bit.
