Thanks I'm going to let it cool down now for a few days or so and then I'll see about improvements and think about 'poof sound' and particles. Then I must also consider LUA, which wasn't even necessary up til now, to trigger the expansion on impact (streams.sensors). As can be seen, the airbag IS functional. I started working with @Nekkit's inflatable Easter egg so I had an inflatable object with the right properties. The inflatable mat was just too big to handle for getting a proper derivative... So my first one was the size of that egg and functioned pretty much the same as the final one, just it was too large. So from Blender I exported a smaller icosphere with just one subdivision (as the egg has two) and so I could shrink it down . Then used a different mesh (uvsphere) with smooth property and the egg's texture is even still there, although I altered RGB's in the material.cs . Ok, more details in a different thread I guess. Most important, speaking of it's own thread, I'm considering putting up a poll to see who likes and who doesn't because many of us know about the contradictions concerning airbags and Beam. If opinions result in a good balance then I will share, regardless of the state of the mod, so anyone could possibly improve it or just have fun with it. ps Instead of a new thread I suppose the most recent airbag thread suits the matter.
before: after: Trying to improve wheel lip texturing for Project 2-piece. Both pics have the same lip geometry. Still kinda hacky textures taken from other original wheels but now with a semi-custom normal map lol. might make some custom ones later on but I think this is starting to look quite good, atleast for a placeholder. --- Post updated --- 16-inch wheels will also now have straight lips as intended instead of the step-lip looking mess that was in previously.
