lost file...

Im no expert when it comes to lost files and programs stuff but the beam.NGupdater has done a runner. its gone..
how do i get it back? havent been able to update in weeks

 

Try re-installing. Or search the threads before you post.

 

is it named update.exe.old?
if so remove the .old and run

 

i needed to know quick but next time i will and thanks

yea ive searched everywhere but i cant seem to find 'update.exe.old'

 

Yea best bet it re-installing.

 

Will I lose my maps and mods or Can i move them somewhere else until lve reinstalled? (Noob question ik)

 

Just backup what ever is in your vehicles/levels folders and re-install it, backups are a good idea.

 

And, you could check out the new updater that tdev announced just today

 

re-installing just seemed to make it worse. cars spawned in without parts and textures

Game is well and truely broken.. Would show you a screenshot but I can't even do that

Use that, It'll download a fresh copy of everything, then transfer some of the stuff you want over to the new folder.

 

Thanks yea I tried updating with the public test but It didn't seem to fix/ ill try it again . Also uninstalled the game about three times now, hopefully it's nothing to serious and can be fixed easily but I'm not sure...

just a quick update guys

the problems have managed to sort themselves somehow. no missing textures now ( and i found the updater which for some reason was in another beamng file) . i had two BeamNG.drive files but one was missing loads of stuff, so im guessing thats where the problem was. just removed the dodgy one and it seems to work now. thanks for the help anyway!
