Hello Everybody, The holiday season is coming closer and we want to host a modding challenge! We(the admin team of Modding for Dummies) want to make an entry level challenge so that everyone can compete The theme: Santa's new ride What would Santa ride in your imagination? Would it be a super fancy sled, a modified car or a clapped out Covet because he spends everything on gifts? It's up to your imagination, create something that somewhat fits in the challenge, make it pretty, make it good and post it on the repo. The winner of the challenge will get a very cool, personal MfD present! That will consist of a medal and some other things, depending on time and budget This challenge will end on Friday 20-12-2019, please submit your mods before or at this date in order to give the devs some time to review the mods for approval! Rules Pretty straightforward: • Don’t start before the starting date(Which is 5-11-2019) • Don’t steal. • Be original. • No NSFW content • Follow the repo rules Criteria The admins and the jury will look at the mods and look for: • Mesh detail/skin quality • Jbeam quality • Configs and their descriptions • Creativity! • Console errors • Repo page We do take the experience of the creator(s) in account by the way Have fun with modding and let us know if you are joining by replying to this thread You can join in teams but we will only send one reward package If you have questions, ask on mod support or join our server: https://discord.gg/39dvN7z Good luck! The MfD admin team: @Stoat Muldoon @Neidjel @D-Troxx @Ai'Torror @TrackpadUser and our koalafied mascot: @FLyInG 2 YoUr SoUL
For those saying "jbeam confuses me! To hard, please gib step by step tutorial for me lambo" 1. Don't go into the deep water with your first project, start with something easy like small parts or skins. 2. Don't be afraid of projects taking more than 1 hour, prepare to spend at least few hours discovering how does the game work 3. Look up your issues on the internet, before asking the same questions over and over, thats what google is for. If you don't find awnser to your question however, than feel free to ask others on the forum or on our discord channel. 4. Be patient and have fun with your creations 5. Don't be afraid to experiment.
For people that are making something or wanting to make something for the competition, are there any specific topics you want to see streams about?
