    Hello!

I have now for a long time been trying to find something or someone that will help me with the in-game double clutch transmissions.

    My issue:
At some point (long time ago), the double clutch transmissions (DCT) became kinda wierd in this game. Now it feels like the car jumps backwards and forwards. Generally, it is not very smooth gearchanges the gearbox makes. When setting off with "realistic traffic driving throttle input" it shifts so hard from first to second, and second to third and cuts the throttle for quite a long period during the shifts.

If i put it in manual, give it quite a bit more trottle and shift like a real transmission would if you where driving normally (shifting early) it is much more smooth and realistic. (Please try it yourself)

I dont know if this is just because ive only driven in very modern german cars with modern DSGs (2018 A5, 2019 Polo GTI, 2020 Passat...) and maybe old DCTs are just like this o_O

    Example:
Comparison of a DCT from BeamNG and a DSG from an IRL Golf GTI. Here i drive the Sunburst in D-mode with trottle input equivilant to real life and not only does it shift late but it also stutters and jumps a bit.

Can anyone explain to if this is just how they would behave in real life or there is a problem with the game?

... If not, i would really appreciate if one could make a MOD like this:

A DCT gearbox that shifts much faster and doesnt cut the power for nearly as long, or maybe even not at all?
I will pay good money over PayPal if anyone could make one for me :)

    Best regards, William

they change in drive like they are in sport mode, they just change the gears at lower rpms, the torque convertor gearboxes are much more refined

Hi, did you find a solution ? Recently I become interested in dual clutches in BeamNG, but I just can’t figure how to get them shift smoothly without jumps.
