If you're the guitarist in a rock band, smash your instrument on the bassist's head. Or the opposite. --- Post updated --- Citroen 22CV prototypes, anyone?
A V8 engine with a turbocharger attached to each cylinder. Now that would be horrible. Also, using gasoline as coolant isn't a good idea either. ...or using gasoline in a diesel engine. Unless you like wrecking engines.
I've seen a picture of a V8 with a turbo for each cylinder. It's as dumb as it sounds, but it's been done. One of my bad ideas is just to run engine oil instead of coolant in the case of a blown head gasket. Another one of my bad ideas is to build at 8.5 foot long motor bike frame and affix a lawn mower engine to it. I haven't quite gotten to the lawn mower engine part yet, but the frame is probably 60-65% finished. It rolls. Hmmm.... bad ideas.... You could fit your car with a donut spare on every wheel. ???? I'll come up with more later
a quad turbo, 2-stroke, 2 cylinder engine, and one cylinder has 2 pistons in it, and the entire thing uses a wankel pre-compression chamber.
A treadmill desk where the treadmill speed increases for every line of code written that hasn't yet been committed to git.
I put a 1000 Watt Sony Xplod amp to an old 120W RMS rated woofer I had around. Guess what? It made hella bass! For about one minute XD
I have overloaded many unlucky parts. For example I put 36v, (a 300% overload) into a dc motor and got a shower of sparks and a massive plume of smoke. Amazingly the motor still works to this day.
I poured alcohol into a vacuum cleaner motor, lit it on fire, then turned it on. It made a big fireball! I did that a few times and it still works too haha
a microwave- powered steam engine. a microwave emitter heats water, which drives a piston, making rotational motion.
