    Hello,

3 months ago, I change my graphic card on my PC (a Radeon HD 6750 to a MSI Nvidia Geforce 1050 GTX TI) , I completely erased the ATI drivers, I delete the ATI softwares, I installed the Nvidia Experience and the last driver. The game runs good but crashes randomly. I thought the problem would be solve thanks to updates (of the games and the drivers) but tmore recently, it's worse, I can't play 5 10 minutes without crash! I tired everythin,g :
reinstall the game, delete the Beamng.drive folder (the one which contains the mods folder and the cache after updates,...), clear the cache, unplug my graphic card, and replug it, run without the UI Hardware acceleration, run in lowest graphics, safe mod, ... and send a lot of tickets.

    Here's my config :
    Xeon X5450 (4 x 3GHz)
    7 Go of DDR2 RAM
MSI Geforce 1050 GTX TI (overclockable but I've not OC it).

There's only BeamNG.drive wich crash, but it ran fine before, with the Radeon HD 6750.

Here's the windows with the errors description :

    Can you help me please?

    There's some oddities there.
Please try doing a Clean Install of your video drivers:
    • Download the latest drivers from the Nvidia website
    • Run the installer > Custom Installation > Tick the 'Clean Installation' box
    • Finish the install, and reboot your PC
    • Before starting the game, in the launcher go to Support Tools and press Clear Cache
    • Then check in Safe Mode if the issue persists or not

Ok, I did what you said, but I have exactly the same issue.
So, the Support windows uploaded an .zip (I clicked on "already in contact with support").

    It gave me a new code : 62055 .

Did you press the Clear Cache button?
The instructions I provided do not comprehend getting a new Support ID. Maybe you pressed the wrong buttons.

Yes, I reinstalled my driver with "clean installation" box ticked.
In the launcher, I press the "Clear cache" button, it's after the crash that the "Support" windows appeare.

I tried one more time :
    - "clear Cache" in the launcher, "are you sure?", "Yes"
    - "safe mode"
    - set my graphics to "normal"
    - go to East Coast (the map didn't change anything to the results in my case).
    - the game crash after few minutes in a loaded map.
    - Fatal GPu error;
    - "send report?" I chose "send report"
    - another windows appeared (see the screenshot)

    - when I choose "contact support", it hashes the files, then I have two choice :
"not in contact with the support yet" or "already in contact with support", I click on "already in contact with support"
    - then I choose "submit information".
    - and it gives me that code : 62068

I uninstalled the game, I deleted the folder "BeamNG.drive" in steamapps and BeamNG.drive folder in my Documents.I reinstalled the game.
    The game crashed again...

I tried an "old" version of the game : the 0.16.0.3 version (I always save the old versions of the game when there is an update)..
The game sometimes crashs, but but really less often.than the 0.17.1.2.

    Do you have an idea?

We had a deep look at your game logs, and it appears to be a generic GPU crash.
I'd exclude it's related to the game itself, since it's persisting within reinstall and different versions.

Do you have any programs that promises to 'Optimize' your PC?
Cos those may be doing some kind of real-time overclock, making things unstable.
I recommend disabling anything programs like that or similar.

You may also try to slightly down-clock your GPU to test if things are more stable.

I don't use programs to optimize my PC (just CCleaner to clean my computer), I tried Afterburner ONE time, but I uninstalled it because it's no very efficient because of my power supply. But I will reinstalled it to downclock my GPU like you said.

I agree with you, I did some tests, and something is weird in "HWmonitor" (I'm not sure of that, I will share you the pictures when I'll be home, I'm a student), and ingame, sometimes I have "big wait GPU" (generally 0.4 - 0.7 but I have peaks at 3.0, 4.0, 7.0) in 0.16.0.3.

Maybe my power supply is worned (old 420W), and BeamNG.drive is less "tolerant" than other games.
If the crashes occur because of my power suplly... I would be really sorry for the inconvenience.

it shouldnt be the power supply considering the fact that that your old gpu has a considerably higher watt draw.

and since you just switched brands
did you reinstall windows at any point during or after the installation of your gpu, if not, did you completely uninstall the display driver
if not, youll have to uninstall and reinstall the display driver or your drivers still might have residual driver data from the old card which can result in errors
the tool im linking below will uninstall display driver and any residual display driver junk with it

    Hi,

This is an old server CPU and DDR2 RAM, jeez.. Probbably that GPU is dying. As Nadeox1 already mentioned, try to downclock GPU core clock AND memory. Also try to start Furmark or similar GPU benchmark to test GPU stability.

P.S. I think that BeamNG team too much supports obsolete hardware. Too much effort goes into supporting hardware (also applies to iGPU systems) that should be left unsupported... Slows development a lot... For an early access title, I must say, that the amount of support is outstanding.

My GPU is brand new (I bought it in July), I don't think it's dying.
I can't let you say that : support old hardware is important to make the game accessible : I tried the 0.3 techdemo (that was soooo cool) years ago on my first laptop (Pentium 2020M + 4Go of Ram + intel igpu) and it worked (lag but it was playable). So I bought the game (after playing on... other alternative free version, but that was for the test) and I played BeamNG on toasters during years...
and I'm not the only one!
I built a PC with the means I have and saved money to buy a MSI 1050 GTX TI OC graphic card. That's an interessant debate but I encourage you to create a new topic to talk about "Should BeamNG supports old hardware?"

So, I'll share the resusts of my tests this afternoon (not the afternoon of USA I guess...). I will downclock my GPU clock and memory with Afterburner and try again.

    Here are the screenshots :

Afterburner was running only in the screenshot 3 and 4 (in the other screenshots, Afterbuner was off).
I think the only detail which indicates that something is wrong is the "Reliable Voltage Limit" in HWmonitor.

There aren't a big difference of time to crash between downclocked core and ram and before I downclocked.
But when I overclocked the Core and the RAM, the game crashes immediately when I launch it but with exactly the same error windows as ususal (gpu fatal error).
But now, the game (in 0.16 and 0.17) crashes less since I reset the parameters in Afterburner.

    Hello,

For Christmas, I got a new CPU (Ryzen 2600), bought new Motherboard (MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max) and 16 Go of DDR4 Ram.
Since I played a few hours (10 or maybe 20, I don't know), and I think there is no issue anymore : 2 or 3 crashes only (NOT a "GPU Fatal Error" windows), but I am doing funny things like drive custom configurations with scenarios on modded map. I have some little freezes sometimes, but the game stills running.

So yeah... my old motherboard is surely not compatible with my Graphic Card...

Thanks a lot for your help, I hope I can play for many months without problem.

If the issue reappears, what should I do? Create a new thread or post a message here?
