0.18 Discussion thread | Use Safe Mode before reporting

Utah is broken, i cleaned up the cache but i got that anyway. Other maps looks fine, significant FPS drop overal

 

These are some issues I'm having with the new update. Write yours down below.

1. There are two signal stocks and tachometer meters on the D-series. Also no indicator of what gear your in when you are in cab view.
2. H-series flat out won't load and crashes the game(for me, not sure about anyone else)
3. Regular extended cab D-series has no working muffler/exhaust.
4. Black exhaust like a diesel on some gas engines

 

I tried loading the Utah map but it just freezes up the game and the entire operating system. I came back to it a little bit over 10 minutes later and the map still hadn't loaded

 

Again BeamNG did a great job, game looks really impressive, so polished and improved in so many ways. Unfortunately I'll need a new graphic card. 980GTX is too old and weak for the new update

 

An absolute masterpiece as usual! I cannot remember all the time's growing up driving around in my father's big truck's. Now anybody can get these nice body on frame, squishy tire beast's in game with so much realism, and for this to only be phase one of the D-Series I can't wait to see what phase two will bring.

 

Can someone tell me, why is game eating so much RAM after update? The computer is unusable!

 

very cool update, no major complaints from me apart from the fact the turn signal/ general interior sounds seem extremely quiet on the d series, roamer and h series. every other vehicle i can hear them clearly at my normal volume but with the d series especially i thought they were broken altogether until i turned my volume up, tested on safe mode too

 

The bed trim on the D-Series' dually short bed does not align properly, see pic attached.
Also the exhaust flames on the Roamer's clearanced side pipes are too high, they seem copied over from the standard side pipes.
The sides of the D-Series' radiator support aren't really dirty when selecting the dirty paint design, so they stick out quite a bit.

Other than that, great update as always.

Unibody D-series needs a cap so we can have something like the Bronco.

The new lighting looks great and I'm loving the new D series and other vehicles. The lifted D series is my favorite, a reference to something perhaps?

 

Apologies if I seem super nitpicky here, but I don't think this would fly in the US. This is an 80mph freeway with a turning lane. Realistically the speed limit would be 55-65 due to junctions such as this. I'm not sure if it's a location difference or not, but I've always noticed this. If someone could point me to a 70+ freeway with a turning lane such as this, that would be great..

 

Just one last thing out of my mouth, Just my 2 cents if anybody else agrees. The new thumbnails are awkward to look at with the backgrounds being white and the new lighting looking the way it does. (New lighting looks awesome! Just off in the white room thumbnails). The black background of the new loading screen would be a lot better. To look at, and to see the details of the vehicles. IMO

Overall feedback about the D-series upgrade: I love it!
Here are some little areas that I think could use some improvement (for the D-series):

1. 'track' preset should have door panels removed

a. It possibly should also have full race brake pads, but the current semi-race feels realistic as well​

2. Chrome trim for the body (tested on modifying 'king ranch' preset) does not render
3. Short frame option could use a couple additions:

a. Option for a divider to close off the cab, with an option for a backlight in that divider
b. Option for cab-only body
c. Option for a bed cover, and associated wings​

4. New valance piece has open gaps at the left and right sides, should either be filled in or pushed back


Utah feedback: Awesome upgrade, great new scenery.
Notes:

1. right in front of the opening to one of the garage areas (sorry, I don't remember which) there are a few models of what looks like wine bottles, but they are hidden below the ground level. I'm not sure if this is intentional, as you can just barely see one of them, but the other right next to it is completely hidden.

 

The game always seems to get stuck on the loading screen right before the beamng logo no matter what map I load

 

Black thumbnails were always better. The white ones have always looked off.

 

The thumbnails are super low contrast too. Kinda hard to make out the details on some cars.

 

Hello, thanks so much for the update!.. is this normal?

 

I notice the "border patrol" config has been changed to the "park ranger." I was wondering how long that would be before it got changed, as it's obviously controversial.

 

the new lighting on lowest settings looks terrible for me, also when a car hits something the wipers float in the air
