Unable to Download file /levels/gridmap/art/shapes/misc/gm_curb_diagonal_01.dae upon updating for th

I've just downloaded BeamNG Drive. The game finished downloading, but upon updating for the first time, I was greeted with FATAL ERROR unable to download file /levels/gridmap/art/shapes/misc/gm_curb_diagonal_01.dae. I was still able to start up my game after this warning. I loaded up the blank gridmap to experiment with some cars. I spawned as the pickup truck, but the textures were messed up. At least, compared to videos i had watched of the game. The truck was orange, and had no hood, doors, and I could see the orange engine. I tired to switch to another car. I switched to the Moonhawk. This time, the vehicle was still orange but had no wheels and i was unable to drive. I had read that I should try to update again upon seeing missing textures, but i had no updater. I had an updater.exe.old in my BeamNG directory, but I couldn't open it. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I tried to reinstall 4 times so far. I also just tried to run the game again and am now getting: The program can't start because libbeamng.x86.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. (Yes I have already re downloaded.)

 

Rename updater.exe.old to just updater.exe and run it.

Try disabling any firewall and antivirus programs you have beforehand.

I tried to disable my firewall and antivirus programs and run the game nothing changed. So I ran the updater and am getting FATAL ERROR unable to open file for writing: ./update.exe.

 

IIRC you can right click on updater.exe and run it as an administrator. Try that.
