Re: General discussion chat that would be nice. i dont usually play online because people are jerks, but i would play on yours
Re: General discussion chat windows 8 will RULE EVERYONE, MWAHAHAHAHAHA (seriously though, windows 8 has been proven to be better in every which way to previous versions of windows, including the start menu)
Re: General discussion chat Well... Ok. PM me mc username and what version you are on and I'll send you the ip. It isn't up right now and probably will not be until the weekend as I am pretty sick. (Have been since Monday. XF) If it gets a good bit of interest I'll make a group. The servers current status is broken though as I set it up for 1.3.2 and only brought back into the light ~month ago. Lots of plugins were not updated.
Re: General discussion chat i think that the windows 8 interface is ok (not amazing, just ok) with a touchscreen, but my desktop computer is not a tablet nor is it a phone, and i hate the way windows 8 works with a mouse. also, i find that different settings are available depending on whether you are in the desktop or the metro ui thing. I have tried using my sister's laptop and i just cant, i would literally want to start bashing it while im trying to navigate through its unintuitive crap they call an interface.
Re: General discussion chat I have Windows 8 and I've been using it for about 1.5 years. I just ignore all the fancy stuff that's better suited to a touchscreen. (The only app I have is Netflix and that's only because sometimes the site doesn't work for me.) I think I got it from the MS website for like 15 bucks or something. I've tried the dev release of Win 8 (Awhile before the real version was released) on my laptop and I didn't really like it so I have both Windows XP 32 bit and 7 64 bit on my main laptop (Win 7 installed on a 50GB SSD and XP along with programs for both OSs on a 250GB HDD) and on my netbook I have XP 32 bit and 7 Starter 32 bit. (No 64 bit support. Older Atom CPU.)
Re: General discussion chat That's funny considering that the w8 start screen has been proven to be superior then w7 start menu, even with a mouse Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
Re: General discussion chat Bubbleawesome is right, It's all about what other users prefer. You can't say they are wrong for not liking it. - - - Updated - - - Let's change this subject before it turns into a flamewar. Other topic: I'm balancing shit like a boss
Re: General discussion chat Solution is dead simple, don't use the start screen, the desktop hasn't changed except the removal of the start button which can be rectified by installing classic start, I have opted against that because on windows 7 I barely touched the start button, it was a feature I personally did not use. - - - Updated - - - Nailed it. You can't prove windows 8 to be better than 7 was for ease of interaction. Although 8 + classic start exposes an interface identical to 7 anyway so I don't see why people bitch about it being so difficult. Besides, all the touch oriented buttons are bigger so if anything it should be easier to hit them with a mouse? Feature I use: windows key + X, opens a menu with short cuts to command prompt, device manager, control panel and other tools.
Re: General discussion chat I use windows 7 because i don't want to pay for an upgrade. We have 8 on our office computer, my dad only just got it after using xp. He absolutely hates it, all the incremental changes like constant admin popups are new to him and he get annoyed by the charms menu constantly. I guess if you have never used any operating system other than linux mint in between xp and 8 it comes as a bit of a shock. Personally if i put something like start is back on win 8 and if i could disable the charms stuff (i haven't looked into it so i don't know if you can) then it would be fine and the performance increase would be welcome. But windows 7 is just fine for me, new gpu, ssd to boot from and extra monitors would defiantly come before a new os since they offer better value (benefit to my life รท cost) in my opinion.
Re: General discussion chat Those are Toyota Hilux's & the car in the bottom is a Nissan Navara. I see no Chevy?
Re: General discussion chat Not to sound bias but Holden is the only good quality GM car left. GM seems to just be half assed with every other brand
