Who thought it would be a good to combine expensive coilovers with extra external bypass shocks with a 4 link with panhard bar? :(
also it's missing halfshafts in this shot hehe.

Other than that and the puny little steering hydro I think it's really nice, I dig the moving shackles :)

Yeah, if there's a car that could have gotten triangulated 4-Link it's this one.

Especially since it's rubning hydro steering, which avoids bumpsteer issues.

Woahhh, Dennis whats up! Also that was my idea. A lot of built rockcrawlers use a panhard bar. Mostly because the engine gets in the way of everything. So unless you do a full tube chassis to move the engine and trans then that is the way to go. They generally go with a 3 link like this one

Also I double checked my measurements for the hydraulic steering ram. I seem to of been short by 3/4th of an inch in diameter. I just fixed it. Thank you for pointing it out.

Heya Ferrett! it's been a while... I've been having fun smashing/tracking real cars lately and work, lots of work. But I still check in every once in a while.

That's fair although it being built as far as it is you could've modified the firewall a little and moved the motor back. I imagine this complicating the hopper quite a bit in the jbeam though.
A lot of times in real life on the jeep they place the front axle forward too to create more room for a 4 link suspension and i'm really not against a full tube version ;).
In the end it doesn't really matter that much it gets the job done but I just like my symmetry I guess haha.

I'll be looking forward to trying this one out!! No doubt i'll have fun with it :D , the model looks on point and the suspension looks to be pretty dialed in from what i could see in the video, good work guys :)

Ah thank you! I do want to create a full tube chassis crawler some day and see how crazy I can 3D model it. Thanks for the compliments, I always thought your crawlers were detailed too!

Go for it! Would love to see you make a sick buggy!

My models always have been mediocre and especially my texturing skills were quite heinous. that combined with learning and using the wrong tools for the job made me lose interest really, would've loved to finish my jeep one day but I lost all my files a couple years ago in a harddrive failure :(. So nowadays I just mess with car configurations.

I am very happy with this release, would you possibly have any more crawlers you’re gonna work on?

Your getting my hopes up here man...

The variety with the in game cars within each model has skyrocketed since this time last year. It's great to see vehicles as heavily modified as the crawler, I really hope this year is a precedent for vehicle content.
