Steering wheel stops working when you tab out

I play this game with a Logitech G25 wheel, and something i've noticed which can be quite annoying is that the wheel is no longer recognized by the game if you tab out and go back in. For example, if I go to my desktop and back to the game the wheel no longer has any effect in game.

what does the in-game console say when you tab out then back in?

 

I have the same issue. Although IIRC it doesn't happen every time. When I'm off work I'll see how frequently it happens.

 

Don't tab out then. Just go in windowed mode and minimize

 

That's an idea, but it doesn't stop being a bug worth fixing just because there is a work around.

 

It has always happened, what i do is just tab back in and press Alt-Enter twice. It essentially puts the game into windowed then full screen quickly and makes the wheel work again

 

When this was happening to me i would just use ctrl-m (reload imput maps)
