I have absolutely no idea what I did wrong. I used the skin instructions, leaving all the names as the base "YOURSKIN" to just see if it would work. It did, so I changed that name to "1989dallisona" and it quit working. It shows up in the selector, but not in game. So, I changed the name to "dallisona" thinking it didn't like numbers in the names for whatever reason. Didn't work. Changed the names to "DALLISONA" thinking it wanted that in capital letters. That didn't work. Also, previous attempts at making skins worked, and then suddenly quit working without me touching anything in the file. Also, another test skin that I made with the exact same format works completely fine. I have absolutely no idea what I did wrong. h e l p edit: i fixed it, made 3 skins, and then 2 of them stopped working even though they all use the same materials.cs and jbeam template edit 2: ive included a skin that does work (wooda), hopefully someone can tell me where i went wrong between that one and the two others
I've spent a bit of time working on it and it seems that it refuses to work regardless of what i do even if i used the .jbeam and materials.cs from my own skin it still won't work, i might work on it a bit more later but i was able to get it to work in the vehicles folder instead of the mods one, i attached a somewhat fixed version but i still haven't got anything
thank you for your help, im completely an utterly stumped because it just.. doesnt work, for seemingly no reason ill see if i can make things work using the file you sent i think we may need a dev to see what on earth is broken edit: i managed to make a solution, but the files have to go directly into the bluebuck's main folder instead of the mods folder.
it works! thank you so, so much to both of you for your help. if anything breaks again ill consult the forum again
