The gap is there on most cars, it's a crumple zone and BMWs have them as well, but with a slightly smaller gap.

Interesting...I haven't played in a while so I might have forgotten about the specifics of the ETK's engine bay; If the gap really is so large then yeah, it does seem unnecessary (As said above, though, it could be for the sake of having a larger crumple zone).
Plus, based on the info you've just written down, is it then safe to say this car draws heavily from BMW coupes, namely the current Z4 and 8-series?

Ahead of the fluid reservoirs, a strip of body coloured metalwork can be seen. IRL, this is just behind the radiator support in a F22, where there is much less gap between the intake pipework and the rad support compared to the K. The 2 added braces of the ttSport (from the struts to the rad support) are oddly long too.

Perhaps the oversized engine bay is to help fit a V12 in future, which is unfortunate if it affects the engine bay structure of all lower models to this degree.

There's also the issue of the gap between the wheels and the bumper that can be seen from the outside, it looks like the radius of the arc wasn't consistent between the bumper section of the wheel arch and the fender's.

If one breaks it down to the intention, drivetrain and chassis inspiration, and unibody proportioning, the K is reasonably varied.

As posted in this thread a while back: With the short wheelbase, wider track than the 800, McStruts, and 2-door, 2-seat coupe style, the K essentially predicted the new Supra years in advance and shares its sporting character.

It currently draws engines and transmissions from various non-M F-series cars. The wide chassis setup meanwhile reminds of a F87.

The body structure on the other hand, seems to have a number of cues from Stuttgart.

The long front clip with the overhang and the long engine bay have the proportions of a R231, which is available with a V12 but uses upper control arms.

(And now that I think of it, what was the last production car with front McStruts and a front-mounted V12? The E65/66?)

The rest of the K is proportioned like a fixed roof coupe version of a R172, which I think was one of their RWD models that retained front McStruts.

The unibody could actually have some R172 inspiration.
    The R172 does also have more overhang than a F22, but it's not elephant-esque like a R231.

Alright, so just how aerodynamic is this thing?

Kc4t - 166 MPH with only 180 peak horsepower. As far as I know, basically unheard of.

Kc6 - 167 MPH with 244 peak horsepower. A little more reasonable, maybe, guessing both are redline limited due to the similarity.

    Kc6d - 184 MPH with 256 peak, and that's a low-revving torque monster too!

    Kc6t & Kc6tx - 196 MPH with only 325 peak horsepower. Huh?

Trackday - 450 peak, 211 MPH. With downforce. Sorry, I'mma have to press X to doubt on that one.

Honestly, I thought the Bruckell LeGran Sport V6 was the most difficult vehicle to take down on SSRB. But after trying to tackle the K-Series Trackday variant, I've realized that the latter vehicle is the LeGran Sport ramped up to 11.

Unlike the LeGran Sport, which has a multitude of vehicles that can successfully (or not-so-successfully) chase and "arrest" it by tapping it on the rear, the K-Series Trackday is so fast that the only standard vehicle configurations that can keep up with it are:

*As fast/faster than it, but far more unstable (SBR4 TTS2)
*Even faster, but terribly unreliable/hard to steer (most drag cars)
*Wicked fast off the line, but even harder to control and even more unreliable (DT40L Hero)
*Some/all of the above (Bolide Group 4 with/without body)

The K-Series Trackday is the ultimate in "standard" cruising machines, and is able to comfortably hold 195 mph for hours on end - and because of that large wing on the back, the Trackday's 1600-kilogram weight, its all-wheel-drive system and the grippy sport/race tires, taking the Trackday out at those speeds is a mighty challenge with only a standard config. It's possibly the most AI-friendly vehicle in the game, with the fleeing AI able to repeatedly recover from 200-mile-per-hour PIT maneuvers.

    screenshot_2019-09-07_16-52-52.jpg

However, from my (limited) testing, the only stock in-game vehicle configuration that can take down the K-Series Trackday is the SBR4 Hillclimb - Asphalt. But it's very, very close between these two vehicles - and I don't believe there's any way you can destroy the Trackday while leaving the Hillclimb completely intact.

Steering on this thing feels same like with Saab 9-3 that had very worn steering components.

Setting 20% reduction to steering wheel input range and around 0.9 for linearity makes it feel more of what similar cars in other sims feel like.

That steering vagueness is something that always makes me abandon any attempts of driving this car, but with such steering tweaks it is bit better.

Also TCS is killing power even when turning slightly so ESC button to OFF and tampering with steering settings is pretty much only way to enjoy sporty driving with this.

Haven't driven similar car IRL, so not sure if that is same kind, but I think car could benefit from steering overhaul.

The problem is the TCS is currently bugged, it only cuts throttle, and not brake the slipping wheel.
You can replicate the problem with a base model Kc4t, which is RWD and has a open differential. Then lift a rear wheel slightly with the nodegrabber and hit the gas with ESC on, the TC cuts throttle and not actuate the brake(use brake temp ui app).

the TCS is really bugged right know
on a straight line at 200kmh the tcs will kick in and take the power down for some reason..

3D model of rear spring location is not matching with nodes and beams.
By 3d model, motion ratio would be something like 0.7, maybe, but by nodes and beams motion ratio is ~1 as bottom of spring connects to bottom of hub which is not same as 3d model represents.

It actually is better way it is as it makes much easier to calculate damping rates, but still, interesting difference.

yeah i always thought it felt too quick
personally i think it'd be cool too for the two modern etks to have 155mph speed limiters unless you turn off the tcs or remove it in the parts menu, would add a cool bit of realism and stop the k from being as unrealistic as it is rn until they (hopefully) overhall the car

There is some realworld data from 415-425hp (from wheels) M4 and some others:
    https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1085442

So guy had 6123rpm and 267kph (165.9MPH), they think that around 310kph (192MPH) would be realistic unlimited top speed.

On Gridmap torque curve app shows 331hp for k6ct and yeah faster than M4 in top speed.

Thing is that there is 11kg lift at front and 6kg downforce at rear with 317kph, while M4 probably differs with downforce department and thus drag is different?
    upload_2019-12-4_21-25-14.png

Still, roughly 100hp difference and same top speed, one would need to find how much M4 produces downforce at certain speed and then test k6ct against that data, where it would be possible to estimate difference.

With k6ct grip is an issue, I think that with more powerful turbo I got it to 336kph but no higher as there is not enough grip to overcome drag.

M4 GTS version produces 12kg downforce at front and 40kg at rear at 200kph, but it is not same as plain M4 which does not have aerodynamic kit or engine tuning
    https://www.bmw-m.com/en/topics/magazine-article-pool/welcome-to-the-green-hell.html

500PS(493bhp) M4 GTS does ~7 minutes and 28 seconds at Nordschleife, 520hp Porsche 911 GT3RS does same in 6 minutes and 54 seconds with street legal tires, but it does put a LOT more downforce and has intelligent AWD system.
Carfolio claims 306kph (190MPH) top speed, which is unlimited, AFAIK.

So from that all, we can see that top speed with 331PS(bhp?) kc6t is surprisingly high.

Edit: I got 8:14.922 at Nordschleife with kc6t, but lap was really poor, I would think that 10 seconds is easily possible to take off that time. I had improved ESC and TC settings though as current vanilla settings are rather conservative.
Also with this car I always have a feeling of control being somewhat vague, it is like if where I turn steering wheel, it would have some degree of randomness.
It is not trust inspiring feeling and pointing this to apex is somewhat scary, sometimes it turns so much and sometimes it does not turn enough.

Does this car get an Update in the next time? Beause there are so much things I would like to build out of this car, I mean there aren´t really many parts. So I would like to see this car updated.

As nadeox mentioned above. Yes. They did that for a few cars and they will do it for all the car (I guess)
I can't wait this time cause the Etk k series is my favorite car in beamng
