I support the idea, but I can’t see it being needed at the moment. It’s like having different flags to choose from. It could be done, just not needed.
So i have a question about the new axles will we ever get the full axle like everything that like overkill evolution has on the real life trucks
Like u know how the axles go out so far in game will we get the big things with the gears in it --- Post updated --- The knuckle will we ever get that into game --- Post updated --- The planitary --- Post updated --- Do u know or no
The differential? Every car has that. You’re still making absolute no sense at all. Please for the love of god use proper grammar.
Like in real life overkill evolution will it be as realistic as real life --- Post updated --- Ok will it have the planitaries like real life Or will there be stuff added to the axle
I've asked this myself about a year ago, he wants to know if the planetary will ever shatter causing a wheel to lock up, I don't remember the answer I got, however it was likely a no, as I don't see how'd you code it in to lock up, if you land on a ramp funny you can already lose drive to one wheel so that's unnecessary at this point, at least I think that's what he's asking for, he could be asking for literal planetary gears which there would be no point because you'd never see them
I'd say you're right on about asking for lockable planetaries. I also highly doubt that those would be a thing since as far as I know no other wheels in the game lock up unless they're hung up on something. About the most we could potentially get is breakable axles losing drive to a tire but that's about it.
Planetary gears are simulated via shaft reduction in the powertrain tree. Planetary itself can't shatter (neither visually, nor from a logical perspective, since it's not an actual device in the powertrain tree) but the axle comes with a 2-way axleBeam which can fail on its own - locking the wheel and interrupting propulsion on that side of the axle - while wheel and/or steering knuckle stay attached.
Don't know. Skin was made by @jedipresence but semi-transparent mohawk on the roof doesn't look quite right, graphic engine still has some issues rendering layered surfaces with varying degrees of translucency.
