New update, i added exhaust and muffler. I reduced the polycount of the cab, so the number is still the same than before adding this parts
Can't wait to see this finished! Hope you don't run in to any insurmountable problems that prevent finishing it.
I take a look of the Gabester's Van Jbeam file and i was affraid of the size of the code x) I think i will finish this truck by the way !
It would be cool if you could add some vertical thrusters coming out of the exhaust. You could set it so it wouldn't have any thrust, just smoke.
He means putting a thruster component inside the exhaust, set to not provide any strength, as that would create a smoking effect.
He doesn't know what trusters are. You're not helping him at all if you just repeat the word without explaining it in a way he will understand.
A "thruster" works like a jet or rocket engine providing force or lift. It also gives off an exhaust smoke. You could set the code to where the thruster would not give power, but still provide exhaust smoke which could be set to come out of the exhaust pipes.
Greetings all ! I've started a jbeam sample test, using Gavril H as base, i will post some screenshots tonight Here is the actuel progress :
Chassis is almost done. I've made some tries with the body : I'm encountering somes issues with front wheels, the orientation systems breaks as soon as the trucks hits the ground, like if it was done with paper xD
Try seeing if your hydro section has the correct layout and if you've got a speedo:true line on one of the wheels(open up the pickup wheel jbeams, search "speedo", you'll see what bit I mean). I've had hydro's break like that on some random cars for no reason just because it was missing the speedo thing. Almost forgot, but that looks great. Should be good fun
Speedo is for rear wheels right ? Do you mean i should add this to the jbeam of my front wheels issues ? EDIT : I've tried, the truck freezes, even if i disable the speedo of rear wheels.. Here is a video of the problem : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JTfcYCwlY8U
You could try increasing your beam strength so it wont break as easy. If you used another vehicle jbeam file as a guide, the stock settings might not be enough for this heavy vehicle. The same thing kept happening to me until I increased my front suspension beam strength.
