I don't want to start a flamewar but why do you prefer wheels over active differentials (and driving modes) which is a new feature of the game, probably never seen before and gives others the opportunity to create a lot of unique mods with this feature? Instead of wheels that take maybe a day to develop if one doesn't need to do research on tires?
new post: https://www.beamng.com/threads/development-media.24313/page-4#post-1108500 I love how the rollers look
I actually think it's quite interesting; also they seem to get their powertrain visualizer to work way better than it does for me because whenever I use it with an open-diff car, it seems to show equal power going to all drive wheels even if I am very observably getting diff slip. Try hard-launching a 2WD car with one wheel on pavement and one on dirt; you'll see what I mean. Also, this seems to show that the modern ETKs use some sort of slip-and-grip AWD system rather than sending a fixed percentage of engine torque to each end of the car.
You sure you're in "Power" mode of the app? Because if you're in torque mode, you'll see equal torque on both sides of an open diff (which is correct) The app did not get any changes.
It should be expected that the general population would be more excited for content over the backend. Content is what most players directly interact with, no matter how impressive the inner workings are. Shiny things are easier for most people to relate to than math and code. I'm not saying it's not cool or important, just that it isn't really fair to get on people's case for not engaging as well as they would for a content teaser. Therefore, Diamondback ought to make a gilded 6x6 to engage everyone equally. I declare that now. It is the only option which is fair to everyone. /s
I can appreciate both. Content is good, but back-end expansions opens the doors for a wider variety of content in the future.
Honestly, I think people should be allowed to share their thoughts on this AWD stuff whether they consider it boring or not. By the way, are you absolutely 100% sure that we are getting nothing else? What about the new car in that teaser video? I'm sorry if I sounded ungrateful. I am actually grateful for any new thing we get in this game. I just have a few concerns and I feel like it's fine if people don't care for this AWD stuff.
Um okay then. I did see that teaser for the new car. By the way, I have 2 questions for you. 1. Is there any chance of a new car coming the game at all? 2. Have you guys considered updating the caravan?
Well as you said, you've seen the teaser, so you can be 99.5% certain that this car will eventually reach the public.
Okay then. I'm glad I'm not crazy =) By the way, have you noticed anyone on here wishing for a 30 foot travel trailer/caravan? I'm sorry if I sound like I'm harassing you =(
