Why do you have to be so negative about literally everything?

That doesn't change the fact that whenever a discussion is going on, he pokes his preteen-redneck-memelord-ass into the thread, makes a greentext and then leaves

Alright boys, less shit-flinging and more actual discussion.

Some photos of a Series X prototype reportedly got leaked on Twitter the other day. The most notable takeaway is that the HDMI-input port is missing, meaning the Series X does not have the same TV-passthrough capabilities as the XB1.

    Thoughts?

Are you talking about the one that was leaked at CES in AMD's promotional video? I think it was confirmed that that was just some random 3D model of the XBSX that they got offline... not an official model of the actual XBSX... which would mean all the ports are just whomever modeled its best guess... unless that's not the one you are talking about.

There is a new set, seems to be legit photos of an actual prototype unit, which doesn't mean a lot either as there may be newer prototypes.

I don't see the lack of HDMI input to be an issue, the input on the Xbox one worked terribly and didn't fit any realistic use case

You didn't notice there's 2 HDMI ports clearly labelled in and out?

The series x (and I'm sure the PS5, too) is pretty fast for a console, mostly because of that zen 2 arch and RDNA gpu. I'm sure a desktop equivalent of the parts (probably the laptop zen 2 chips) could handle it fine, so why couldn't the same parts in a custom build work just as well? Of course, actually coding it to work with all of the xbox's features would be an issue though.

This, sounds incredibly unlikely that while plugging in the hdmi you never noticed that there are 2.

But regardless, you can, but it's utterly crap for doing so. It only supports 720p, and you have to launch the TV app on the console whenever you want to do it. Plus there is quite a large latency on it. It's meant for your cable/satellite box to plug into (and if your box supports CEC it can actually issue commands to it)

Possibly not as big as you'd think these days. Microsoft does now support using the same UWP binary on both Xbox and PC.
Not that the game works in UWP. But it is hypothetically possible to do so

I have always found that 6677's reasoning is always accurate, he is one of those forum members who usually speaks the truth and always has a good answer to those technical problems relating to the entire Beam on Consoles argument

I don't get why people don't understand a red box saying a thread is months and months old, and that it's considered a bump

It's fair to assume the series x will have comparable cpu power to a 3000 ryzen 7 with a gpu comparable to a 2070 or even better, also the Xbox operating system is a stripped down version of windows, it wouldn't be that hard to port. Mind you I'm not a console guy myself, I'm a real pc masterrace pro gamer boy but I think the money it would pay for the cost of implementing it... Plus extra funds and devs to improve our favourite game

My answer stands as it did back in 2019 the answer is NO end of topic this game will NEVER go to consoles ever, you dont have the space for the mappable buttons....besides it would be a terrible mess like the Project Cars for Wii which never came out because of stability issues....this is a PC EXCLUSIVE GAME PERIOD!

Also its too expensive for the developers. They arent a huge game studio, they are niche and dont have a lot of funds.
