It's just not worth it IMO.

You're literally just throwing money away to drive in a car that's not even yours.

for me it would have been interesting if at all for a VW Passat wich would have cost 38 euros per month if i pay 20k up front but looking at 1 year old used ones im seeing that i get them for a similiar kind of money then too

Buy someone else's car that's coming off lease. A chunk of the depreciation has already happened and you get a pretty much new car.

That's also a crazy chunk of deposit to be paid up front for a car like a Passat. If you could legitimately afford that much, then yeah you'd probably go for one that is ex PCP.

A passat like the one i want costs around 38k after a year with 8k km on it because i want a R-Line with a 240hp TDI wich both are rather rare options so 20k up front wouldnt be that far out of the ordinary.

Tried out Windows Powershell recently. Powerful, but (IMO) more confusing than Bash. I usually use WSL with Bash for CLI scripting on Windows 10 because GNU's shell is better than Microsoft's.

Getting quite a bit of snow here today, and there's already a nice sheet of ice under it all. I mean, I'm just trying to go drifting...

You ever flick the back end of your car out with a sudden release of the gas? I accidentally did that once, and it just so happened that it aligned my car perfectly in the direction I was trying to go (probably ESC caused that, but who knows...). This happened while I was driving my Civic in a low gear mode at relatively low speeds (S specifically).

Done it a couple of times, but it doesn't happen too often considering I drive a 4,400 lb AWD Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Also, put it in a ditch before I could even do any drifting lmao.

North Carolina, as usual, got no snow. Rain was at a surplus tho.

I want to learn a new instrument, maybe another small woodwind, something I can play at work. Anyone here play smaller woodwinds?

I used to play trumpet in middle school then moved on to the drums for a couple years. I've since lost my rhythm, but willing to try again some time. I still got my drums stashed away in my dad's warehouse.

I played trumpet until fairly recently, sadly mine was damaged during a move, haven't replaced it yet; never tried drums though. I play a frankly unnecessary amount of instruments, I could really do to improve my skill on all of them after being away from music for so long.

I had the opposite experience but I'm also the madman that solves scripting problems by deploying binaries.

Though I think shortcomings in either scripting environment mostly stem from experience

Planning an eventual trip to Tokyo. Hopefully the coronavirus issue won't be a problem by the time I'm ready to do it.
There is nothing wrong with using binaries for scripting if the binary can be combined with scripts. This is how bash scripts are often done. The binaries are generally built in commands, but they do not have to be.

Learned how to TIG weld at BOCES yesterday. Super stoked about it and I was finally able to get the AHP TIG that me and my dad bought, but couldn't get the hang of, to run some solid beads today. They're still pretty ugly, partly because I was using 1/8" filler rod on 1/8" steel because that's the only filler rod we had at home but I'm still pretty happy with the result, being my second day ever TIG welding.

Tomorrow I'll pick up some 3/32" filler rod and run some more, hopefully better, beads. I want to try welding some tubing, too, since we're building a cage for our '73 Torino that will require some TIG.

I would like to learn some welding too. I wanna build a roll bar for my truck which some of you have probably seen. My dad has a buddy that could probably teach me. It would save me a bunch of money and it would be all custom.:)
