Most things out of Australia that I could think of, bar a modern ute, would be fine as American or British. A modern ute would be pretty cool though, so sure.

Well, the devs did say that the list was outdated, so you make a good point there.

The concept list was a goddamn concept list, it was never confirmed by anyone.
Gabe posted those as small little ideas, never said they would come to fruition.

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of Australian cars that I love, but I don't see most of them as particularly unique. When I think of Australian cars the two that come to mind are the Commodore and Falcon, both of which were either very similar to or exactly the same as their mirrored NA counterparts depending on the generation.

If we ever do get a map where it would be appropriate, an Australian flavored car would be awesome. But until then I don't think they would fit in game.

 

Yea, It wasn't even 'real'. It seems to be just gabester's brainstorms for ideas of possible official content.

He posted it back in 2014, before BeamNG was even on Steam. Back then there were no immature children on the forums, and there was no massive community which would over-analyse and obsess over every little thing the devs say. I don't think they ever expected for the game to get as big as it did, so sharing these ideas with a small and mature fanbase back then didn't cause any issues.

 

Adding on from your points, they weren't even brought up that much in the first place and any "information" on it died off after a few posts. That for me is a pretty obvious red flag that would definitely deny that it was ever idealized to actually be implemented into the game anytime soon, just some ideas that blew up and that was it.

I'm actually happy that the concept list has finally been deconfirmed, was very tired of people still bringing it up as if it was something solidified for development when I always thought it never was anyways.

Its a CONCEPT list. Concept: an abstract idea. You ever see those wired ass looking concept cars? Some don't ever make it to production because they are abstract ideas. The List is just full of early ideas and abstract ideas the devs had. They might have had intentions to make some of the cars BUT as progress on the game went on those ideas just got replaced new better ones.

TL;DR shut the fuck up about the List. It meaningless and serves no purpose on game development. Now go and speculate more on the new ugly yet cool French car. Was everybody just too enticed on arguing about some names on a sheet to notice we're getting new exhaust crackle noises on the new car?

Exactly, it's a concept list. None of the cars on that list (at least from I've heard) are coming in the game, so I will move on.
