Are there any good russian mods?

The funniest thing with it is/was that whenever you turned on the lights, the "hood" on the front would just lift-up like it was one big pop-up light

 

I mean, I tried downloading a Mazda 3 mod form WOM that had nice textures and looked promising, custom wheels and all that. When I put it in the mods folder, it didn't work, BeamNG didn't detect it as a mod. I then decided to see if the folders BeamNG mods have in .zip files are there. It was an .exe file. I feel like the .exe was a virus. so, no, I don't agree that WOM is perfectly safe.

alright, I'm gonna run the exe and then scan my PC with Avast. Will update.

 

well i keep antivirus on while running the .exe files and there good. but some people said they are virus so use antivirus but most aren't virus so try them

 

i downloaded it and....

speaking of that, how do you join a private mod group? can you join a private mod group without having contact with anyone in them prior?

 

Usually, it is the modder who invites.
They likely won't invite someone they don't know.

 

No dont do that, just download the file from wom, open the zip, extract the folder, add it to an archive, and put it in your mods folder. I believe that the extractor puts it in the games content folder, not the mod folder

 

why do you want this mod, it'll be crap anyway.

That's why I've never visited wom.

hmm, yes, opening .exe files from dodgy websites, nothing can go wrong there.

 

Yeah, the mod I downloaded was a Mazda6 model (probably from a free 3d model site) that has "pessima" in the mod files. the thing is literally a pessima with a 3d model of a mazda on top.

 

Conclusion: dont download from russian websites

 

I never stated I wanted the mod, I'm just saying for reference

I think they only invite popular Youtubers.
