I actually did (sorry if im interrupting the conversation), but to let you know, this is about Monster Trucks, not NASCAR.
Unfortunately due to our never ending ongoing war with some in the Sim Monsters Community, All Stadium models we were originally granted permissions to use by user Chris B have been revoked. Please do not use Sam Boyd model from this point on, as well as Aloha Stadium. I apologize for this, it was not foreseen but has become all too expected.
Sim-Monsters is, and always has been, pretty toxic. The moderators have always been grown children and the members are rude, or trolls. Not surprised this happened. We'll overcome as a community and make even better content in the long run. The content that's been produced here lately is better than anything on Sim-Monsters in the last 8 months anyway.
The main argument is this is a "Paid Platform" and being used in a commercial setting, where as content created on Sim-Monsters is free on a "Free to play" platform. And therefore violates their copyright requests.
"Copyright requests"? What the hell is that? What do they own, by law? They have no sorts of legal documents protecting anything they make, and nothing they make is protected as copyright. That's a horrible argument on their part and not a valid one. I can see the "free platform Vs. paid platform" argument, but claiming copyright is ludicrous.
That's why I was super toxic when I first came in here I came in thinking everyone woulda been like that. 3 years ago I came in and I just was stirring stuff up surprisingly I wasn't kicked straight away that's hopefully now I seem more respectful.
Hold up, we were granted permission by Chris B. Did he revoke our permission or was someone else bitching and complaining. Because if thats the case then that’s just wrong. We have been using these stadiums for the past couple years what changed their mind.
If Chris B revoked our permission to use his stadium models, doesn't that mean the people who did use his models for tracks have to take those tracks down?
