You know what, how are we going to get together if we don't know each others names?

I bought the disc version, would it be able to be setup on steam?

 

You should be able to activate the license key on the CD within steam. There are instructions on the website.

 

Do I use it on steam first, or completely set up the game then use the key?

 

Putting the key in on steam will give you the game on steam, and de-activate the CD. Just activate the key on steam and install it from there.

 

I'll still by able to use the cd t install the game, right?

Well, it needs to be on steam for multiplayer to work. I bought it on steam, so I don't know how installing the disc and then activating it on steam would work.

 

at that speed its not likely multiplayer will be too playable either

 

Hehe, forgot to add the part where I'm getting 5mb/s internet in the near future.

 

I recently discovered the air horns in ETS2 (I never knew that it was a separate horn key) so I did this and drove around like a maniac blasting the horns.

 

I don't even have that game, and somehow I'm reading a post about it.
That mod seems cool, though.

 

he I got the mp mod and I open it and this is what happened, the icon shows up on my dock so it opens, I hear the music but I still see my desktop I had the same issue with single player and I fixed is but idk what to do for mp b/c it dosent have the option I will keep on experimenting but if anyone knows how to fix my issue let me know

nmv I fixed it anyone who has this issue in mp or sp in sp unclick the full screen box then you can use mp and launch sp without having to use direct x or whatever the otherone is

 

Ah. Well. I finally got banned. Honestly, I don't know why it hasn't happened earlier because I drive like an idiot everywhere. (80-90+ MPH with a trailer, 100+ without.) But I don't think my ban was fair. Here's what happened:

I was in the middle of a convoy and for some reason I got kicked for too high ping. (My ping is always about 120ms on the EU server.)
When I came back I was behind the convoy and because there was someone near the middle that was going slower than everyone else I wanted my spot back.
I started safely overtaking everyone. I was waiting for a gap and a truck spawned in the middle of the lane that the convoy was in so the person next to me had to swerve over and slow down. I took advantage of this by taking the space created by that idiot. (The one who spawned.) Apparently this made the guy who swerved very angry because he came up and intentionally flipped my truck. I got mad and instead of reporting it like I should have I dropped my trailer and went after the asshole. Almost immediately after I smashed into his truck I got banned for intentional ramming. Asshat.

I've made a post in ban appeals on the MP forums and I'm just waiting for a reply. Also, I can still use the US server apparently.

 

Get a better GPU and a better hard drive. I got my used R9 270 GAMING for $120 and it's a lot better than the 650ti I had before. Also, you can save money by getting an FX-8320 instead of an 8350 which is basically just a faster version of the 8320. Otherwise, looks good to me.

 

I really really wanna play ets2 mp but I don't have it on steam and have no idea what my key is.

 

Find your key and activate it on Steam. It's what I did. (Originally got it from Amazon.)
