Im running this on a mac (bootcamp), and it is eating my FPS like the cookie monster eats cookies. I normally get great FPS on most other maps.... any reason behind this other than the million trees?

I think a sand dunes map would be awesome, and extremely easy. It would be better if the sand is like the sample that is on grid map.

Are you talking about with depth?

Or what if I do an offroad map with sand in it. like a mixture of sand, dirt, and mud

probably just the foliage killing your gpu... get a gpu monitor program like gpu-z and see what the load on your gpu is in this map, and then look at cpu usage.

I don't know why it is doing that but you can always delete the "forest" but then you would have no trees. What are your specs? Besides the mac (like what are the components?) Nobody else is complaining about this issue so it might just be the mac

I think I found the one that I want to make thanks. I was thinking could I like mix the "hammer" course with like the baja and just like mix all of it together to one big eduro race basicaly with rock climbs, hill climbs, and desserts. Does anybody know what the biggest height map that can be made?

I don't know about you but I like it. LOL
It was easier to make then to try to find a bridge that looked good.

im also having problems with it running, getting like 1 fps, if not less, and 3 second lag, have moved forest to art folder (so it wont load the forest) and with stripped 4x4 still runs like shit, but when i pause physics it runs very smoothly

i down loaded gpu-z, when physics is playing it runs 3-5% load, when i pause physics it jumps to 98%, im confused:confused:
i might check if my cpu is the cause.

my computer doesn't like this map at all

I believe king of hammers is an enduro race with some high speed sections(like baja), and some really technical rock crawl sections.

The biggest height map is 4096x4096, i use one that size for http://www.beamng.com/threads/6870-Glass-View-Mountains.

Does the map lag. Also wouldn't it be 600 acres rather than 6 hundred?

Alright try turning up your ligthing to low or removing the tailights and the front lights. fixed it for me

turn the ligthing option up to low :) or down to it
