Cus this thread has been bumped i might aswell add something, the Barstow isn't a generic american sedan its a sporty ponycar like an old mustang so making it into a sedan or wagon would make no sense. And a Track focused version like a trans am racing config.
And something like a new age retro muscle car would be even better for the Barstow.

Can we talk about how low the power-outputs are for these cars? See below, it'd be more accurate.
    291 2bbl: 188 hp
    353 2bbl: 229 hp
    423 2bbl: 293 hp
    291 4bbl: 262 hp
    353 4bbl: 307 hp
    423 4bbl: 377 hp
    423 Supercharged: 455 hp
This is at the wheel, gross power outputs would be higher ofc.
Makes no sense that a 4bbl carb'd 7.0 liter engine makes 280 horsepower, it's absurdly underpowered.

Are we forgetting the first generation Mustang was heavily based on the Ford Falcon? Also in 1965 a Mustang sedan concept was built by Ford. So.. its really not too far out there.

Besides lots of 60s/70s muscle coupes had generic sedan counterparts. Also thats why I suggested they be called a newer "Bluebuck" so to separate the two.

Anyways it'd never happen in a million years, Im just spit-balling here.

A notchback coupe is perfectly reasonable, and a wagon isn't that out there.

Ford made 2 and had a couple different paper proposals for them, though I believe the above is a replica.

Those are more of a special order from the factory. Old cars had catalogs that you could choose what specific thing you wanted your car to have. Instead of today where you have to select a trim package. They weren't sold at dealerships, you had to specify that you wanted a wagon variant of said car. Hell, you could even get a Edoardo wagon if you were willing to pay up.

A car like that could even be turned into a house with that kind of size.

Once made a very rough coupe version. The rear pillars were modeled after the 1st gen Firebird/Camaro, the trunk area like the 1969 Torino coupe.
Was not sure about it though; it might be not realistic as it was 'too sporty', having the same target buyers as the current fastback. It also would be hard designing a sedan with a similar pillar, maybe something based on the Nova sedan would fit.

    Tuning still exists, y'know.

As for the thing I came here for:
    screenshot_2020-04-02_18-54-26.png

There is an issue with the Barstow's radio - it has no AM scale. Giving that FM radio listenership wouldn't exceed the AM one until 1978, the Barstow should have AM on its radio.

Also, there's no key in the ignition, but that's a problem many Beam cars have...

Wait. You mean I can take a car from the factory that didn't come with a factory option and put said factory option on the car? That is madness! Absurd! Who in their right mind would do that?

I agree. The low power output would make sense if the developers made the Barstow's model years between 1971 and 1973.

The outputs listed in brochures were gross numbers, while the BeamNG power figures are the far more accurate net horsepower.
