I have gotten somewhere. As can be seen, I have an untextured, basic model of an SVX currently slapped on to a 200BX jbeam with no uv mapping. I will improve on this to the best of my abilities.
Now that I have a pretty finished model of the SVX, I wanted to try to Jbeam it. I have litte experience Jbeaming so I decided to use the 200BX jbeam even though the SVX is AWD or FWD. The SVX is separated and named properly in blender and in Beamng. So far I have encountered three problems. One is that the model is backwards compared to the jbeam and the other is that the headlights are still pop up (not really sure how to do animated stuff and lighting). Last is that I don't know how to get the steering wheel in place. Any help is appreciated.
ok thanks --- Post updated --- Well, no the Elipse has a short back and some other differences. But everyone can have an opinion
After a long hiatus from working on this, I decided to come back to it. I've been working on the materials (Model and everything from forza horizon) but I have no idea what to do for the headlights and taillights. I really don't know how to uv map and add detailed textures. For example, I added an alcantara and wood texture and that looked great in forza but appears as a bland grey in beamng. I haven't really gotten around to moving nodes and changing properties yet, but I will eventually (currently using a 200bx jbeam because of the mcpherson/double-wishbone setup and similarities between the two cars).
huh, interesting thread you got there, i just bought my svx a month ago and then i see this. the svx is such a great but underrated car, its in my opinion the best car subaru has ever made, even though it never came with a manual trans swapping one in is no problem though, compared to other cars. hit me up if you need photos or any other help
Beautiful car! Right now I have a subaru legacy wagon that needs an engine rebuild and some quarterpanel body work, but I've always wanted an svx (current dream cars are rx7 fd, svx, and 3000gt vr4).
