Game won't start...

Good morning, as of this morning, the game hasn't started... white screen and then a few seconds later... "beamng.drive has exited unexpectedly" Yesterday the game closed itself after crashing and said status_heap_corruption. After deleting the cache or trying in secure mode it doesn't give any solution. I reinstalled the game with steam but it won't start anyway. I have no solution anymore. I would be grateful if you could help me. My computer has the required capabilities.

 

When you reinstalled the game, was it a clean reinstall (i.e. removed all game files from the SteamApps folder, and from Documents)? If not, you should try doing that, and see if it works.

If I understood correctly, you have to delete the files in the steam folder. Is that it? Thank you very much.

 

Yes, delete the Beamng.Drive folder under SteamApps. You may need to completely exit Steam beforehand, because it may block you.

Finally after uninstalling with steam as well as deleting the folder under steamapps the game still didn't start. After rereading the instructions you kindly gave me, I realized that I had forgotten to delete the folder in the documents. The game launched perfectly after that. I wonder what could have caused this problem. I thank you graciously for your help. I'm from France and we're all on lockdown because of the virus. It's always better with functional games. It could've been a number of things; the game could've been corrupted in some way, either from an update or something else. Glad that helped!
