West Coast Drag Strip - Records

WELCOME TO THE WEST COAST DRAG STRIP RECORD THREAD
It is time that we come together to see who can get the fastest time down the track on the West Coast map. I have separated vehicles into suitable classes, separated by drivetrains. Mods are free to use (Just be sure to let us know if you used one). Vanilla vehicles are in classes based on vehicle type. Mod vehicles are in a class of their own, meaning that each mod vehicle has its own class. Mod vehicles are also only added to the leader board once a member submits a time.

Submissions
To submit a record to be posted on the leader board, post down below an image of the timing board at the end of your drag race with the vehicle visible. It will be helpful if you include drivetrain information and any mods that are used.

I have removed the leaderboard from the initial post as it is severely outdated. I love to see this thread thriving, but unfortunately I do not have time to update it.

Tried to keep this kinda realistic, mimicing a turbo lsx setup with a powerglide in true no-prep fashion. No "indestructable" parts in the engine and no extragrip tires. In short this is a built iron block 6-liter with a large turbo @ 62psi and a two speed transmission.

Here's my entry for the Street Tuner Face Off! I'm hoping more people will decide to race this class so I can have some competition. I know this car has a lot more in it so I'm ready for some racing!

Love the entries! @Ben Harvey sorry for the confusion with the classes, but the '88 Pessima in RWD is in the Retro Sports Car RWD Class. I believe this is a fitting class with the other cars involved (200BX, ETK-I, Marshal), but let me know what you think.

 

The white car has a time of 7.046 and is the Hirochi Sunburst, the time on the standings is wrong for Modern Sports Car AWD. And as far as the 88 Pessima, is says that both the 88 and 93 Pessima are in the Street Tuner Faceoff. I think there might be some mistakes as far as which post is being looked at. Ill delete the one post with the white Sunburst that has the 7.4. 7.4 is whats on the leaderboards but my later post shows a 7.04. I think I understand what you're saying but I think you're mistaking the Sunburst with the Pessima. XD

 

I think if you are using modded cars, you need to provide a screenshot of the torquecurve app, no offence but running 5s is very easy if you slap on 15000HP and grippy tyres, there is no realism or challenge.

Something else that might get somewhere, needs better tyres and the transmission isn't coping just yet

 

Running a 5 is not easy no matter how much power. I do think that the ultragrip tires are kinda cheap. I'm just using the stock Alder Draggers and have been able to get 5s. Its taken me hours but thats the challenge of using vanilla tires

I used the 4.5l engine with a turbo. Pretty sure the turbo was from this mod. https://www.beamng.com/resources/turbocharged-d-series.3540/
10 speed was made by myself, ratios directly off Ford's 10 speed in their trucks. Also uses a transbrake.

maybe a idea to make a leaderboard for all cars without mods.

 

Sorry for the confusion on the times, I did not notice the double post. As for the Pessima, you are right in saying that it is listed in Street Tuner Faceoff. However, Street Tuner Faceoff is only AWD or FWD, not RWD. Therefore, I placed the Pessima in the Retro Sports Car RWD class, as I think it is better fit in that class with the 200BX, ETK-I, and Marshal.

@Inertia @rednasm I have created a separate leader board for cars without mods. Let me know what you guys think, of course this is all a work in progress.
