"This was just a quick test and likely won't be in the next update due to time constraints." "time constraints" Retrofitting the eSBR seems fairly simple, so the time constraints must be pretty tight... big think
That time constraint comment was certainly odd, since it seems like a fairly quick thing to add from my laymans perspective... I wouldn't get too excited though, it is still a bit early for an update and we haven't got many real teasers. Especially since it looks like something is unfinished for the D-Series, judging by the mystery truck in the Roamer pic and random bumper in the Charro pic. I expect a Cherrier and/or map update release video 2-5 days before the update like we've been getting. On another note, I find myself surprised at how much I am looking foward to the Roamer updates. She has always been a vehicle I rarely used since it's been more or less a D-Series with less customization. My favorite vehicle in game is pretty much whichever has the most personalization potential at any given point, and judging by how much content the D-Series got, it's looking good for the Roamer. It's already nice to have the little things it got in the last update*. Between this, the Charro, the Cherrier, and anything the H-Series and maps get, it looks like this'll be a good update for vehicle content. *Really hoping for a sunroof for her though...
It sounds more like "this is a mockup, making a proper system will take a long time and thus won't be ready by the update"
Not sure about that, as it is confirmed the Vivace will have the new TCS. Porting it over to another vehicle should not take that long, at least compared to the time it takes to implement it in the first place. The time constraints in question are probably preventing Diamondback et al. from properly tuning the system to the eSBR in time for the update - which is unfortunate, as the eSBR really needs better traction control.
I'm looking forward to the new TCS, the electric motors of the ESBR were just too much for the old system to handle
Main thing I noticed in that eSBR video is that the tail-light glare has been turned down majorly. Finally the lights don't look so ridiculously bright, looked far more realistic. I've always hated the excessive lighting glare. I like to see the actual light assembly light up, so its always bothered me that the glare has always kinda blocked your view of the lights. I've always preferred the lights in the early version of the game before the light flares were added. But it looks much more revised now.
It's been a real problem for me when it comes to getting any decent night/headlight photos unless I turn the FOV way down. Like, look at this photo I took in February. It does not look good - and there isn't much better you can do with the current stock lighting. I'm definitely pleased to see this finally get fixed - even if it potentially bones a lot of mods. Also, this ESC symbol popped up very briefly: Will this be coming with 0.19, or is this just...something that Diamondback made to mess around with?
None of those strike me as likely occurrences prior to the actual update (except for the trailers, which I consider part of the update, given that they occur simultaneously). We might (maybe!) see another screenshot of the Vivace as configurations are put together, and maybe two or three level screenshots, but a full devblog post on anything? That would be highly unusual.
According to the Vivace devblog: "There are a lot of other parts to our vehicle design process such as audio design, discussing and designing the vehicle variations and extensive Jbeam work based on crash data from similar real-life vehicles. But those are all topics for future dev blogs." This could mean that another Vivace devblog is planned on those topics, or at a later date said blogs may appear but for a different vehicle. On the topic of trailers, they have been dropped hours (in the case of 0.13) days (in the case of 0.15), or even weeks before an update (in the case of 0.17). Trailers have been released before update release previously, and could definitely be released early again, especially as this update appears to be quite sizable compared to past updates. I am most interested in regards to levels, and that's honestly what I'm waiting to see more teasers for. Is it just Small Island, or Industrial, Port, and/or even Jungle Rock Island? How do they look? How have they changed? That's what I'm currently most excited to see.
Its a hard one, They said use the last updates as a possible idea. SO that may mean this week, upto may. I do hope Sonner then later due to corona virus scare and depression this last 6 weeks. But it will drop when its ready, Getting a new pc in a few days ( if there is no lock down )
The update has a lot of pretty cool stuff but I'm excited for the pre-facelift D and the other remastered maps. Also, like everybody said, the lighting on the recent dev screens looks new. Pretty nice that the devs are still making further development to the lighting of the game.
They could release only the Update without the Vivace like they did with the Crawler. First the Update, later the Car.
To be honest, the devs did post the reveal a bit too early, which makes everyone impatient and keep asking ''car reles when hurr durr''
No it wouldn't. I want my T H I C C R O A M E R If they would hurry up and get it done, they could probably convince a bunch of people to stay home, play BeamNG and stop spreading corona
People on other sites (such as YouTube comments) have been complaining about the lack of the Cherry since Christmas... Unfortunately as the audience grows, the quantity of impatient people who do not care to inform themselves of development cycles does as well.
