Not really a bug, but I can't manage to do a burnout.

I've tried everything. Different cars, line locking, trans break, changing the break bias, removing the rear breaks, YouTube tutorials, thread tutorials, etc. I just can't figure out how I'm supposed to do this. The videos are like okay rev then drop the clutch. I do that, and I just start moving forward. Can someone please go through a step by step process, along with what keys I press in what order. Thank you.

    Ok...
Use a rwd car for it (barstow, sbr4 etc.)
    1. Engage clutch and rev.
    2. Step on the brake.
    3. Drop the clutch only.
    4. Yes u are burnouting rn.

not with the new system they have in place. you cant engage the clutch with the brake held now with clutch assist on. probably the problem he is having right now...

Video using Arcade Gearbox with Pedals app visible:
Video - Click to Play - Direct Link

You need to be using a Rear-wheel drive car with enough power (I used the Barstow Kingsnake)

If you use Arcade Gearbox mode:
    • Brake and accelerate at the same time. This will rev the engine while still being in neutral.
    • Quickly release and hold the brake again but with less pressure so you don't block the rear wheels*, while still accelerating. This will make the car shift in first, and coming to a stop.
    • Your rear wheels should still be spinning, and if you calibrate the brakes good enough, you will be burnouting

    * Better with a controller or pedals. With a keyboard you cannot control how much to brake.

If you use Realistic Gearbox mode:
    • Hold the brakes slightly, and accelerate while in Neutral gear
    • Put first gear, while still holding the brakes slightly. Your rear wheels should be spinning.

Because you are normally braking all wheels, the rear brakes will overheat eventually.

you realize this doesnt work with the new .19 update right? you have to let off the brake entirely to get the wheels to spin with a manual now.

    Um... no.

Maybe you are doing it wrong? it still works like that on my end.
2nd burnout i did without touching the brakes at all and it did a beautiful burnout.

    I recorded this on 0.19 ;)

You cannot. A keyboard is limited to 0-1 inputs.
You have no way to hold the brake by 50% for example.

You need an axis kind-of input, like a controller or pedals.

Yes, depends on how strong you hold the brake.
The stronger you hold them, the more you will block the rear wheels from spinning, which will overheat the brakes. It's a balance play.

and it shows that you slightly let off the brake for a split second, unlike your description to hold the brake and just hit the gas, as that does not work anymore(that i so desperately want back BTW). even you are so accustomed to it working that way, which is as it should be.

in the description for the arcade style, but not for the realistic style like you said below. with clutch assist on, that is exactly how it should be working, or like it was in .18.

If you use Realistic Gearbox mode:
    • Hold the brakes slightly, and accelerate while in Neutral gear
    • Put first gear, while still holding the brakes slightly. Your rear wheels should be spinning.

you probably have clutch assist off then, or have an automatic transmission.
