I'm someone who doesn't like driving cars in beamng.drive but rather let the ai crash them. As a result of that I'm often letting the Ai just drive in span mode around. I have the risk factor on 1,5 which results in the cars driving mostly fine. But sometimes the Ai just drives like an idiot. It ruthlessly takes jumps and drives way to fast in corners, so that it crashes. My suggestions for that: Suggestion 1: Implementing some kind of system, that indicates every piece of road with a danger value (how likely it is to take damage). The Ai then takes that value and calculates the max. speed it can drive without taking damage. The risk could then indicate how much damage the Ai is allowed to take and set its speed for that piece of road accordingly (It would be nice if that could be controlled seperatley from the risk.). This could be accomplished by measuring the speed and the taken damage for the pieces of road. Suggestion 2: I see the Ai often taking corners way to tightly. Doing that it crashes and I have to repair the vehicle. But oftentimes the Ai just gets stuck at the corner after that. To avoid that I would suggest to implement a system, that roughly checks its surroundings. If it finds out that something is infront of it and on it's site it adjust it's path until it will have enough distance to the object. Or the system kicks in if the vehicle stands still for a set period of time/ drives backwards and forwards to often while not moving significantly. Then it would drive backwards and try to drive around the detected object. I hope I get feedback Thanks --- Post updated --- Sometime I also have the problem, that the Ai drives around corners to thightly, so that it falls into the water on a harbour. You would just have to change the first option of suggestion 2.
