Um, I'm checking my model against the DEV content. I'm not exporting anything to BeamNG. I am just asking if the BeamNG scale is off, or if I'm doing something wrong when importing.

Have you actually measured their size or are you just eyeballing it?

Nope, I've measured. When set to the Blender inches, a lot of the wheels are around 1-2" larger than what the game says they are.

i've found that too. although i never thought to switch to inches, i usually end up measuring it in metric and converting it. it's quite inconsistent. tires too. i tried to make 20" wheels using some 17" ones as a base (scaled up with math), and they ended up being way bigger (or smaller?) than the 19" wheels in the game

I should be working on other things, but here's some pictures of a base spec 1.0L (or 1.1L?) car.

Those renders you made in Blender are looking great. Have you started doing the JBeam or no? If not, are you going to make your own JBeam or slap on a pre-existing one?

Planned variants, because I know that's what you guys love reading here:

1.0-1.1L three or four cylinder, making around 70HP max.

    1.3 or 1.4L making around 95HP max

    1.5 or 1.6L making around 110HP max

    1.5L Diesel with around 80HP

Transmissions: 5-speed manual, four-speed automatic (only on 1.3 and 1.5L), and maybe a CVT automatic on the topmost 1.5L trim.

    Possible configurations:

(Factory) Sports version, but I'm not sure what engine it would have. Not sure if I want to go with a big N/A engine (like the Yaris SR) with a 1.8L, or maybe a turbo 1.3L.

Period Correct EV - so it doesn't go very far or very fast. The 2000 Toyota Rav4 only had a 27kw/h battery, and only had a 67HP motor. Top speed was 78MPH. Remember, this car would be on sale from about 2004 to 2010 ish.

    AutoX/Gymkhana version

Cup racer spec - 1.5L, stripped out interior, manual.

Cup rally-spec - same concept, but set up for a rally

Track day tuned version - tuned, roll cage, lowered etc. around maybe 200HP.

    Also....this car might be Korean.

I've called it a "Touox" which is an American brand that is my own, but this car looks very Asian. It could be akin to a Chevy Aveo - that model was called "Daewoo Kalos" in its home market.

I'm thinking something like "Sunghwa Motors"

This might be the dumbest question, but...
Did you planning for an RWD?
So we can put AWD (?) In this lovely tiny hatchback?

Nope, FWD only. The way the torsion beam axle is designed, there's no room to put anything back there.

Sounds good! The idea of a cheap American-made and -designed car competing against small imports reminds me of the spirit of Saturn when they were first starting out. I used to have a 1998 Saturn and love and miss it a lot.

Talking about Asian cars, "Touox" sounds like a Chinese brand.

i honestly like this project but im still really having a hard time grasping the concept that this is an american company.
Touox is not really- American sounding. Chevy, Ford, Chrysler, GMC, all sound (hate to put it this way but its true) American and simple. Scion, Toyota, and Honda all follow the language rules of their culture and we can see it in their English translations
Touox, sound Asian. Firstly, i do not know how to pronounce it immediately. literally every american brand like ever is near impossible to mess up pronunciation. I've just been pronouncing this Touhou, like the game. If its pronounced with a soft or silent X, its most likely not a native English word or sound. name me one English word with a soft or silent X. i know they exist but they are so damn rare and dont make sense as an "American brand" name.

The car also generally looks asian.

i see that this is supposed to be one of those early 2000's rebadged asian cars as American cars, but just take a look at the Chevy Aveo:

it looks american. it may not be american, but it sure looks the part. What you have here is a car that looks asian and is called American. the styling is Scion with a hint of other stuff. it still just doesnt check out to me. maybe im being blind or something.
