Time to start a holy war.

Crossplane V8's are better than flatplane V8's. For one, you don't have to rev a crossplane up to a gazillion RPM just to get some torque, you can just push the gas and go. Then there's the fact that most crossplane V8's are built like tanks, they'll keep running long after your Ferrari has burst into flames.

Hello everyone. Welcome to "Responding To Reddit Comments: TRADE SCHOOL EDITION". Let's do this.

Surgeons operate on bodies. By the way, surgeries can be gross to some people. However, you are kinda correct. Surgeons are important and we need doctors as well. However, I don't think trades is about sticking your head in a toilet. I can't say for sure, but from I've heard. Trades is about learning skills like electrical work, mechanic work, truck driving, wood work, iron/steel work, etc. If that's true, then I would much rather go to trade school and learn about truck driving then go to university and learn about math, or something that I'm completely uninterested in. I don't think you even need trade school to clean toilets. You might need it for actual plumbing work though.
It's not as sad as sitting on a couch all day and relying on your parents for money because you're too lazy to find a job. Look, I understand that there may be people with autism and anxiety that actually cannot work a normal job and that's fine. However, being lazy despite nothing else like autism, anxiety, or a disability holding you back, sitting all day instead of walking some, and mooching off your parents when you're in your 30s or 40s (and possibly even older then that) in my opinion is far sadder and more pathetic then being a plumber or a janitor. Why does Reddit judge people's passions? To be honest, I don't think there's anything with making videos/entertainment for a living. There's also nothing wrong with being a janitor or a plumber.
Hairdressers make good money from I've heard. By the way, Reddit does make it clear that you should worry about money along with your passion. That's not a horrible point in my opinion. I'm taking money in consideration when it comes to my passion for making entertainment. I gotta make sure I can make a living off of it. I'll let @appesh1 say on whether or not you can make a living off entertainment. Anyways, I need to make sure that I can pay my bills and pay my taxes. I also believe that money determines whether or not a product is successful.

However, I don't want to make my entertainment a soulless cashgrab. Anyways, I can see why Reddit thinks that. However, if Reddit is actually against people doing their passions. Then, that's wrong. I'm sure people can do what they love and make a living off it. By the way, Harkin Labs Gaming is a mechanic. @Harkin Labs Gaming, How do you make 6 figures off being a mechanic? Do you do it for the money or do you do it because you're passionate about it? My mom said that going after something solely for money fails. Now, I don't know if that's true or not. Harkin Labs Gaming and appesh1, Please let me know if you think that's true or not.
To be fair, I've never been to Trade school so I can't say for sure whether the wages are high or not. Even though people say it pays well. For all I know, Trade School could be so bad that it might be worse then college.
About the $100K thing. I think that's if you're a truck driver, mechanic, or a very passionate electrician that did an apprenticeship. As far as the joint problems and stuff. I'm sure you could get that from a trade job. That's probably why some people pick uni over trades. I have ranted about uni stuff in the past, so I won't go into my thoughts here. Anyways, I'm just trying to be fair here and understand where people are coming from.

Anyways, Time to respond to appesh1.
Actually, his thing at the end was a message that said something along the lines of "adding traits you like other people will make you love yourself more" and he was literally cramming the message down your throat. The message itself isn't bad, it's just a shame that Phil was cramming the message down people's throats.

I think that there are some entitled people in this world. If you don't let your adult kid do what they want because it "disgraces the family name," then I think that there is someone else that is actually the disgrace. I couldn't make it past the first 2 quotes because of the absurdity.

I don't blame you. Somebody on Reddit said that they don't know about trades that could make you a $100K a year. They also said that the tradesmen weren't raking in the dough and instead, they were raking in the chronic back pain and joint problems. A common complaint about trades is all the pain and stuff. They also said that the tradesmen said they didn't like their jobs and wanted their kids to go to university/college so that way, they didn't have to do those jobs. What do you think of people saying that trades cause you pain and stuff?

Honestly, I would rather go to trade school and learn how to drive a truck then go to a 4 year university.

Save your breath, they don't listen over there anyway.

Side note - forgot this thread existed! I haven't checked in on these forums in a good while since my PC hasn't been strong enough to run BeamNG. After an upgrade I've gotten back into it and I forgot how fun it is.

Bipolar disorder is no joke. I've gotten a lot better at managing it, especially compared to 2014-15.

Speaking of Reddit. There's a CMV (Change My View) thread I'm reading called "there should be more emphasis on entry level/trade jobs than college" and I agree with a lot OP (Original Poster)'s points. However, a lot of the comments on there are a train wreck. They're basically saying "fear-mongering" stuff about college/university like college/uni is getting required for more jobs.

Please keep in mind that the stuff I say is opinions, not facts. By the way, I apologize if you're getting bored with me talking about this stuff. I have an obsession with this stuff and I like ranting about it. @appesh1, You can respond to this whenever you want. SPOILER: "Jokes" in this post, I dare you to see which is serious and which isn't.

I totally agree. The value of a high school diploma would totally increase if we did this. It wouldn't just be a random piece of paper that's outmatched by a degree. This would probably kill off some the pressure to attend higher ed too. Unfortunately from what I can tell, It looks the workforce is going to crap for people with just diplomas. Nowadays, it totally feels like a diploma (alone without trades or certificates) isn't enough to land you a high paying job.
Yes, but unfortunately though. There's a lot of pressure to go to uni and sometimes I feel like I can't say no to going to uni and I feel like I have to go even though I don't want to.
I think people should be allowed to access uni, but I do think there should be more high paying jobs available to people with just a high school diploma. However, I don't expect that to happen anytime soon considering where the state of education's going. It feels like it's going towards the "higher ed is mandatory" route. Uni should be something for special and academic people to enjoy. Not for people like me to worry about having to go to after high school.
And this is a reason why I want to pursue my entertainment/video making "career". It's hard to find a "real job" with a just a high school diploma nowadays from I've heard. By the way, even if I do find a job with just my diploma. Chances are, it won't even pay that well. A diploma may not be entirely worthless, but I feel like the value of it has gone down dramatically.
This may be not a bad point, but if you're going to high school for a "job" that doesn't have specific education requirements like YouTube, then isn't getting a high school diploma pointless? By the way, I'm sure college and trade programs could be affordable. I just think this whole thing going on with uni is making high school diplomas tank in value.
I get the appeal of university. However, I don't think you should need a bunch of education to get a high paying job, but hey. Maybe I just need to suck it up and go to uni for 4 or so years and land myself a decent white-collar job instead of actually pursuing my passion. Besides, my passions will probably become a hobby when I'm an adult. Reddit hates the idea of people making money off entertainment anyways.
    R.I.P The job market

I was referring to me. I guess I gotta to suck it up and go to uni after all. Considering the fact you provided a link, you must be right. I guess I'm gonna become a starving artist no matter how many subs I get on YouTube.

I'm joking, obviously. This honestly sounds like the most fear mongering, hate propaganda ever. Crap like this is why I don't want to go to college. If this is actually true, then this shows just how far down the toilet society has gone. However, I'm just hoping this is just some BS Reddit comment and not reality. My goodness, this is pathetic. This might just be the worst hate propaganda I've ever heard. This makes Improvement Pill look like somebody who hates authority.

I'm done. I'm so sick of this college bs. I'm sick of Reddit users telling others what to do. I'm sick of getting pressured to go to university. I'm just sick of school and the education system. In my opinion, the job market and education system could pass the point of no return in the near future.

Conclusion: I think people like appesh1 should be allowed to go to college if they want to. I also think everyone should have access to education. However, I think too many people are getting bullied into going to college and I want more people (like @Harkin Labs Gaming, @Copunit12, and me) to stand up to this BS pro-college hate propaganda. I think we as a society need to move further away from mandatory college instead of moving towards it.

    #FightMandatoryUniversity/CollegeForAll

Thanks for reading. If you disagree with this, let me know why.

Honestly, BS authority stuff like the crap I quoted on Reddit is awful. I bash Improvement Pill for the same reason. Granted, I'm a teenager who doesn't know that much about this stuff, especially not in real life. My only experience with this is just stuff I've heard online. However, I still think some those quoted comments on Reddit were dreadful and were telling others what to do with their lives. I am curious as to what you thought of that college hashtag I made.
