I'm so excited for this! The XJ was actually my first car(now I drive a Civic Si) but driving this in game will give me some early 2010s memories!
definitely never seen a saving odometer in .drive before, maybe devs should take note. I'm interested to see how you did it, mod looks great so far!
that would be so cool! Maybe it records your miles traveled across every single trim of the model, across every map! So you can see how many miles you've used the mod throughout the whole game! this needs to be a thing on every car.
Here's some of the technical data and specs for the Beijing Jeep Version (1998), hope this will be useful to you. [/ATTACH]
Nice info. And Welcome to the beam.ng community. Read the rules and Don't ask for mods. OT: I cant wait for the release.
Wow, thanks! Finding information on that series of cars is very difficult, this is definitely very useful. Yes, but please don't derail the thread this early, the car is nowhere near getting accessories like those. OT - The model is being completely re-made with a new method next week, hopefully starting tomorrow. I won't say anything yet, apart from 'no more photoscans'
That's a ZJ, but yes, yes it will. All sorts of stock and aftermarket axles will be available, either from me or as mods for sure. Each one will have some other customizable parts that you won't get anywhere else, but for the sake of the idea being stolen before release, I won't mention what those are. Coil-spring and 4-link rear ends, as well as long-arm kits and lift kits (from budget w/spacers to full-on complete swaps) are on the cards as well. Some of the XJ owners who've joined the little development team I've got going have theirs in different states of tune, some more modified than others, but all unique in their own way. Since their cars are all going to be recreated in-game, all of their upgrades and modifications will also be made available for any other XJ that they'll fit.
Consider me interested in this project. This looks like a massive undertaking, but seeing as you have lots of time on your hands, it looks like this is going to be more than amazing. Definitely keeping an eye on this thread.
