If its the vehicle safety tests where a guy checks your brakes and emissions etc, then its known as an MOT in Britain, has another name in other countries. there is no standardised English word for it.

the smog testing is now part of this MOT (brit. :D). a couple of years ago you had to get two badges for your license plate. one for the main investigation (breaks, lights and stuff) and one for the smog test. now it one test and one badge :)
oh and we got a new ticket system this year ... yay ...

My bucket at the "beach" as I dubbed it. There's no water around, its just some sand in a nice secluded location :) I've been doing a lot of exploring in this car.

im still waiting to install the rear sway bear I got from CorkSport for my Mazda. Got the intake in (looks lovely) ((sounds lovlier)) and I even got a sweet low-key wondow decal from CorkSport. (google them if you have no idea what Im talking about) Will post pics, I also have some other small mods planned...Oh I also got my 2 12" Alpine Type S Subs in with a 1200 watt kenwood amp. wired it all up super stealth, so the subs kick with only the stock head unit and BOSE amp (under pass. seat). Im a nut with car audio, but since this car is under warranty (that I paid decent change for) im not going crazy until I at least pay the damn thing off. Ill post up some pix of my most recent mods tho. Theres some others planned, mostly visual bits...I want to do True HID retrofit, (already gotht eHID in the projector housing too, forgot that one) and I JUST purchased 4 new Goodyear Eagle GT tires, 205/50R 17. nice stiff sidewall (something us beamers need ingame lol) and aggressive tread, it handles WORLDS better than the stock Yoko Advans. Best money I spent in a while (over $600 USD for the tires/install, so worth it)

Had to pull a log out of the woods with my Corolla a couple days ago. Because of brake-shift interlock, I have to press the brake pedal to take it out of park. When I did this, there was a clunk and my foot went straight to the floor. Looked under my car to find an exploded brake line and a puddle of brake fluid. Good thing this was in my driveway on not on the interstate.

Currently not driving as I don't have my licence yet and the car doesn't have an MOT...

    But it's a 1969 MGB GT.

    Bonnets knackered.

Seats are in a bad way, but the rest is actually in very good condition.

Trying to get in the bonnet as the mechanism has completely seized, it was going to be replaced anyway...

And engine: A i4, 1798cc, and would have produced about 90hp when new, might have lost a few over it's 45 year lifespan..

Oh and to give you an idea of just how small it is, here's me standing next to it, I'm about 6ft1" and it is rather difficult to get in and out, it certainly isn't dignified!

    Nurburgring in rain: DONE.
800km/500miles in a 21 year old car: DONE!
(sorry, had to blur license plate for insurrance reasons. they sometimes cancel your insurrance when they find out you've been on a track :( )

Move car off driveway the day after: NOPE STALL! Please keep running? NOPE STALL! But please? NOPE!
Take apart inlet system to look at throttle body / idle control valve, find nothing, figure it might be fuelpump or something, put it back together: RUNS FINE.

Freakin German reliability for ya there...

My insurance policy I find to be quite entertaining.

    In the exclusions thingy:

    11. any liability, loss, damage, cost or expense if you use your car at any event during which your car may be driven:
    • on a motor racing track, airfield, Nuremburg Ring, de restricted toll road or at an off road event such as an off road 4x4 event or whilst green laning

They cant get the nurburgring name right :p Nuremburg is 200 miles away from the nurburg. I did find a set of email correspondence someone sent to the insurer to confirm if they are insured on the Nurburgring or not and posted the results on a forum, sure enough it is a miswording in the policy and regardless the motor racing track clause already covers the fact that they are not insured on the ring. I also liked "off road event such as an off road 4x4 event", repeat yourself why don't you :p Legalese...

My mums policy goes even further and specifically states that if the vehicle is in Nordschleife the policy is revoked without refund.

    Update on my previous post....

    Cars driven:
2002 Saab 9-5 Hot Aero Estate (with 4 gears....its got 5 gears but 5th is broken so its only 4 on the floor) which for me is a monster...since I havent driven anything with a High Pressure turbo before...light controls on it
1997 Saab 9-5 Saloon have not driven that since my little brother got it, its was a good car it use to give me terrible static shocks whenever I closed the door on it...
2009 Jaguar X-Type Estate Diesel very nice car to drive heavy gearbox it feels all mechanical and you have to physically pull it into gear so I like it
2009 Jaguar XF 3L V6TT Diesel its a beautiful car to drive and it surges up the road sounds like a pussy cat till you kick it into S and drop the hammer...then it turns from a Grandpas car into a road eating Diesel burning brute! and it gets 38.8mpg
2010 Toyota Yaris Diesel its my instructors car and its fun to drive

well. at the moment I dont have a driving license for cars because I think that the b17 license ,that allows 17 year olds to drive if a Parent is sitting beside, is useless.
But i do have a driving license for 125cc bikes.
    20130820_133331.jpg :D
my first car is most likely going to be a opel vectra , or maybe even a bmw 520i(you cant drive 3 series bmw in germany without coming from eastern europe)
