Hello everyone. I've got a new profile pic. Anyways, I'm gonna wear a mask during this pandemic when I have to. Don't get me wrong, I think a gas mask would look much cooler and would probably be much more effective in protecting me from COVID-19, but I can tolerate wearing a mask. It's far better then getting sick or dying.

 

Just installed VMWare, but no VM's on the system. As my first VM, I'll use Windows XP. Cause why not?

I used my original floppy disks to install Windows 3.11...

I designed and printed my own MX-5 keychains this weekend:

They are not superduper strong but they are strong enough for on a keychain.
I might give other cars a go as well but I don't know about that yet.

A first short baby-steps-example of one of my latest new studies : photogrammetry

A friend of mine will be surprised when I say I still have an old, unfinished scale model of an E36 M3 laying around in the basement.
It has been crushed by sitting in storage boxes for years, it's a Revell model with scale 1/24.

The first part of the example shows my first recognizable result with textures in Meshroom, the seconds part shows the mesh in Blender.
My initial result is just a fraction of what can be achieved. Here, only 22 of 53 photos are recognized by the software, the software's default setting is the use of minimal 200 photos. The photos are taken with an older smartphone in an unprepared setting. This technique is very promising. There is a person with a Youtube channel called 'Crosslink' who has proved that very small models can be perfectly handled by photogrammetry to create a 3D model.

 

Gonna find some modelling tutorials next so I can get a better idea of how to model in Blender (I'm working with 2.82, in case anyone's curious).

I JUST GOT MY INTERNET BACK! Its been out since Saturday morning, sucked to do schoolwork using my phones data but what are you gonna do

 

Started another model after months of noodling with non-car stuff.

 

Scripting a weapon in GMod right now. Dealing with the logic needed for moving objects around in a 3D environment can be a headache sometimes.

 

My mother Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 wont start any apps anymore. Does anyone have ideas what could help? We tried letting a Virusscan deleting apps restarting it multiple times but nothing worked.
