In 1974 Phil Lyman from Los Injurus, CA, bought a new '75 Ford LTD. He wanted a comfortable highway cruiser, since he drove a lot on the highways. In order to limit fuel consumption, his LTD was equipped with a 351. The car ended up having its engine replaced in 1976, but outside of that, it was a pretty reliable performer. In 1977, it was traded in for a 1978 LTD with a 400, and was sold to the Morenos, who needed a family car they could buy relatively cheap (due to the 98k mile mileage). However, the previous owner's engine troubles weren't the end, and in 1984, the LTD was taken off the road due to timing issues, and sold to Joe Pizzi, who wanted a cheap big car. He swapped the engine out for a 460 and gave the car a rattlecan paintjob. He owned it for three years, but after that time Mr. Pizzi decided to switch to owning a conversion van and sold his sedan to his cousin Michael. Michael owned the LTD for two years, but after a host of electrical issues he sold it for scrap in 1989.
