Dummiesman is right. DirectX SDK and documentation are free to obtain. It is free for commercial use.

First off, this is a very old thread. But what ever. I posted that when I had my old PC which used a GTX660. Steam ran all programs off my integrated for some odd reason. Now I have a 780 ti on a new build, which has everything running on it.

Plus with all the big youtubers playing it, its reached the attention of even more people so steam probably wouldn't be a bad idea
