Speed limiter are there is because the lack of downforce, an egg-shaped compact car, has negative downforce and will be very unstable above 250km/h. BTW, do you REALLY want to make every car has a unbypassable speed limit, and making ECU tuning illegal? No wonder that more and more people dislike cars that are too modern.(no offence but why don't ban guns in the U.S first)
Aerodynamics is not something I have considered, thanks for the informative post. If the vehicle in quesiton is meant for regular onroad traffic use - as basically any production car is - then yes. You are not allowed to drive faster than the legal speed limit on public roads so why do you require the ability to do so? As I have said, I would of course allow a certain overspeed so that you can rescue an overtake where you underestimated the oncoming traffics distance and speed but beyond that, you are running out of reasonable arguments against it if you consider that public roads exist as a mean for transportation and not for anyone enthusiam for racing. Yes, for some enthusiast it would be additional work to remove it on the track but that number of people is pretty low in comparsion to the people who misjudge the public road as their personal racetrack. Of course you can always bypass it with enough effort but for the majority of drivers, it would put an end towards excessive speeding on the public road. Which would - like it or not - decrease the amount and severity of accidents. I would also again estimate that this will comer sooner or later. In fact, it is already technically possible for basically any car built in the last 20 years. It is even used already by Ford in some models so that parents can set a upper speed limit for their children. It is also well received by rental companies as they are not particularly happy about people trashing their cars. I would estimate that the real reason why we dont have it standard in cars today is that most politicians are not aware of how easy it could be achieved. Fuel today is delivered to the cylinders by the command of a a computer.... if that command doesnt happen there will be no fuel and as such no power.
Thanks. Now top speed is 357 km/h before engine broken due high cooliant temperature. With ultra perfomance radiator. I saw this element on engine 1.2L but thought it wasn't in sports versions. my fail.
Can anyone check if the turbo sound in the 1.2 vivace sounds right? For some reason the turbo buildup sound lasts way too long after letting the throttle go. Does the same even in safe mode. Check the Vivace base model for this please. I think it didn't happen before this update.
@ Devs: Technical questions: After what type of real life electric motor is the motor in the Vivace/ESBR simulated? May we assume that all Vivace Engines are using direct injection? Not quite sure what you mean?
I feel like this has been brought up before, but the Burnside has problems with its headlights. When the headlights are turned on (either normally or with highbeams), the texture of the headlight doesn't update, leading to looking a bit off. The lights still do function, however. Here's a picture of the headlights when they're on to show the problem, and a picture of the highbeams on as well. On the topic of Burnside texture bugs, there's also an issue with the seats. On the corners, for some reason, the cream inserts and the body colored parts overlap, with the body colored part on top. This results in the corners having weird edges.
The Burnside's tailights also look strange : if the headlights are turned on and you press the brake or turn on the blinkers the tailight will become greyish.
ESC/TC can still be confused. It seems to happen under heavy ESC/TC load... the system seems to fail to notice that its action is not longer needed and as such it fights you accelerating away until you brake. It also seems to be particularly vulnerable when going uphill, quite possible because this causes increased work for traction control. Jump to 04:50 if it doesnt automatically start there. After the next corner you can see how it denies acceleration.
Is it just me or do the crossply tires all seem a bit too... grippy I think is the right word, and drum brakes on all equipped cars also seem overly powerful and don't lock up as easily as it should ?
Loading a map sends me back to main menu. This issue happens randomly except it finally loads maps after restarting the game a few times but this bug is really annoying. Now this issue still persists even when restarting the game several times. Devs please look into this bug. Thank you! EDIT: Maps load in safe mode but the issue still persists with mods. Maps tend to finally load but this bug keeps appearing and kept happening since late 2018. Im looking forward for this bug to be patched in a hotfix update.
Hi, a small question: the central e-clutch has thermals? It seems never overheating, while in real cars if used extensively it does. If hasn`t there is the idea to add it? Thank you David
Please do not report problems caused by mods here. If it works fine in Safe Mode, your issue is very likely being caused by some mod. Please check the ones you have installed, remove the broken ones. https://documentation.beamng.com/support/support_tools/safe_mode.html#cases The issue with the flares is known and is on our ToDo list. We will check what is happening with the Burnside backseats. Those textures were made before the Lightning changes. They have baked-in highlights, which is not required anymore. Will be fixed in future work.
ETK I's rally lights start to shake, when the front bumper support is installed and the grille is removed. 3 floaters
What's the refresh rate Windows is using? Spoiler: Check in these places Also note: Overclocked monitors are untested territory. The game simply gets the available mode from Windows, so as far Windows is getting that correctly, it should work in the game too.
