Some minor stylistic differences afaik, probably some internal stuff too. Also being the "poor man's Porsche" isn't a bad thing, the car has a fair amount of charm and fits well in Beam

I agree! i don't understand why people are so judgmental
when it comes to mesh slaps, especially when they actually turns out to be good. i would say ignore most of peoples opinion when it comes to mesh slaps, if you know what you're doing then it would hardly be any difference between that and a scratch made J-beam.

I mean, I guess you could classify both the 924 and 944 as "poor man's Porsches," but the 944 is a vastly superior car. The 924 came in the late 70s as a base model, rear-wheel-drive, front-engined sports car that was designed to have as good bang for buck as possible. As with other base model Porsches (912, 914, etc), it used a VW SOHC(?) I4 and a rear transaxle. They sold well enough despite not being very fast due to their relatively low price and sublime handling, but Porsche fans hated it because of the humble origins of its engine. The 944 was an advancement of the same design introduced in the mid-80s. It had a vastly more powerful twin-cam Porsche engine and revised exterior and interior styling. Porsche fanatics embraced it, and it became a decent volume seller. The 944 was what the 924 should have been, and all it was was a perfected 924.

A model with detail and different sounds doesn’t make it an “Advanced Meshslap” in my eyes. It makes it a normal meshslap for all the reasons above.

eeeh? its not a meshslap because he didnt slap a 944 mesh onto a 200bx jbeam, even one of the creators said its edited. besides, pointing out that its a meshslap doesnt help anyone, the creator knows that.
