Music in-game

Since the game uses FMOD sounds, and the type of sound varies between the interior, exterior, and while the vehicle is moving, is there a mod or an in game app or something that lets you play music in cars?

Also since even euro truck sim uses FMOD sounds now, the music on that now sounds more realistic and as if it's coming out of speakers and such... It doesn't sound like it's coming straight from engine audio sounds or something like that..

Also, if someone wanted one how would they make a music app?

 

Well, so far the only way you can play music is to play the Light Runner mode, but even then, the music is preselected instead of playing what you want

Wonder how hard it would be to bring that feature into freeroam...

 

There was a mod waaaaay back when but it's been nearly unusable for a few years (I think). The devs could maybe do it and allow us to use MP3 files we have and just have us put them in a folder called "musicplayer" or something. As far as the FMOD part goes, the devs may be able to do that since the Powerglow music sounds like it comes from the speakers in interior cam. It sounds tinny with very little bass, but it's cool nonetheless. With improvements to the audio sound (more bass, less tinny sound) this could be a revolutionary thing for the game if you ask me, probably up there with traffic.

 

I remember, a while back, that somebody made a bunch of sirens that were songs. It’s a more janky, top-gear esque solution, but it worked.

 

I like the powerglow missions just for that aspect.. just because the music feels like it's coming from the speakers inside.the vehicle...

Anyway, since even euro and American truck sims are now using FMOD, I wonder how they sound..
