I am fully aware of the Ideas/Suggestions thread, but I thought that creating a thread about how the game would have been if you could edit anything by your fingertip. This thread is for suggestions that probably wouldn't be accepted, since it would be a lot of work to do. So, if we aren't considering FPS or development time, how would you like the game to be if it was going to be perfect to you? Of course, the game to me is astonishingly great already, still in alpha and I appreciate what the developers have made, I don't want to offend them in any way. Also, if there are any other post like this, I'm sorry about posting a new one, as of the fact that I rarely post a new thread (I hate posting threads because it feels like some kind of exam). I'll get on how I would like the game to be. My dreams are as surrealistic as possible, I understand that Maps: A huge map to drive around on, like Euro Truck Simulator 2, where all roads have loads of traffic. Would have to be jBeam cars, running over those with a monster truck gives me wet dreams The Need For Speed Underground 2 map! I love that map! Drifting down the Heights... Good memories Cars: I am the one who loves quantity. If every existing car was in the game (including every car Gabe has made), it would be heaven to me. Who knows? Maybe it's possible in 30 years? Multiplayer: Yes please. If servers could handle a million players on the same server, and there was different kinds of servers; one server for actual driving instead of crashing your car, one server where everyone was free to do whatever they want to, one server made for different career modes and so on. Game modes: Career mode: I know this is planned. I want 2 kinds of career modes, one online and one offline. The online career mode can be split up in divisions. Maybe 10-20 divisions? I kind of ripped the idea from the FIFA games. There should also be different cups, arranged by moderators/admins. I.e. The Ibishu Pigeon cup, 90's cup, Sedan cup etc. The offline career would rather be like Need For Speed Underground 2, where you drive trough the map to your jobs. This is probably my only serious suggestion. Arcade/Free mode: You choose car, map and game type yourself. Game types: With this I mean what kinds of races you can drive. Normal race: I know this will come, and I don't have any other wishes on this. Well, I hope there will be both "A to B-races" and circuits. Elimination/Endurance: A 24 hour Le Mans? Or simply drive around a track until your vehicle dies? Maybe the same elimination concept as in Burnout 3: Takedown? Police chase: Already exists, but we need better AI. I know AI is coming with the next update, but let's say a police Grand Marshal behind you in Dry Rock Island? Like an actual game type instead of spawning them in, where you start like 250m in front of the police? Maybe there can be some kind of online leaderboard, where the ones who have dodged the police the longest gets their name? Time trail: I guess everyone knows this one, I wouldn't be surprised if this was added. "Road Rage": Taken straight from Burnout 3: Takedown, modified for BeamNG. It's about crashing into eachother while driving around a circuit, trying to be last man standing by destroying the other vehicles by making them undriveable (knocking out the drivetrain or something). Crashing into traffic: Another one from Burnout 3. You drive straight into traffic, trying to make as much damage as possible. Simple. Just post your suggestion down here
I wanted to say something witty and scathing, but I feel this is more appropriate. (imported from here)
It would be cool do have a Baja race with a baja bug and trophy trucks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep. I'm looking forward to when the computer technology gets advanced enough to actually run this (30 years, maybe?). But some of the suggestions are serious enough though.
Actually there were 2 versions. Block I and Block II Block I had 1 kiloword of ram (word, not byte) and 24 kilowords of rom. Block II increased this to 2 kilowords of RAM and 36 kilowords of ROM. Block I had 11 instructions, Block II managed to kludge in 34 instructions (its a real hack job they pulled to do it). Block II was the version that went to the moon, was also installed into an F-8 crusader to demonstrate computer driven fly-by-wire and on a US Navy deep-submergence rescue module whatever the hell that is (some sort of small submarine it seems).
Not sure if you Google'd that one up. I read the 12kb fact in some old magazine, not sure where it is now. Anyways, you get my point, the computer world will never stand still. It will keep on developing. Also, daniel_j, if you want this thread to die (how I understood your comment, you obviously do) then fine. I thought this to be a thread where people come with some surrealistic suggestions, but seemingly it has turned into a fiasco, as of the fact that we have tracked off already. However, one thing that's bugging me is that I am afraid of being negatively criticized when posting a thread, and I guess it shouldn't be like that on a forum.
Oh well. "Geek out" to me sounds like making it die by... Geeking. English isn't my primary language. Sorry for overreacting, I was in a real bad mood at that moment.
